Rajkiya Engineering College was established in the year 2015 in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. Register by clicking on ‘New User Signup’. After registration and verification of e-mail address. Login again.

Pay the application form fee through Debit/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. General & OBC candidates have to pay INR 1200 as an application fee & SC/ ST & Female candidates have to pay INR 600.

The Training and Placement Cell of REC, Sonbhadra actively works for a successful summer internship and final placement of all the students of different streams in various esteemed organizations like Hindalco (Aditya Birla Group), Reliance Industries Ltd., Adani Group of Industries, L&T Ltd., Essar Power, Kanoria Chemicals Ltd., Hi-Tech Carbon Plant, Lanco Thermal Power Plant, JP Thermal Power Plant, JP Industries Complex and more.

The cell organizes skill enhancement workshops, seminars, and guest lectures for the students. The cell is well equipped with ample infrastructure in terms of a seminar hall for workshops and presentations.

Rajkiya Engineering College Sonbhadra Scholarships

The college does not offer any scholarship; however, financial assistance is provided to meritorious students of SC/ST & OBC categories under the regulations of the UP State Scholarship scheme. Every year, UP State releases a notification for fee reimbursement for the students of AKTU & its affiliated colleges. Students studying in the REC can register themselves for the fee waiver through the Scholarship & Fee Reimbursement online system of UP State.

The campus is spread over 30 acres of land which consists of six buildings and an open auditorium. The campus is clean, calm, and quiet. The campus is well equipped with laboratories, a library, a workshop, a cafeteria, a mess, a stationery shop, hostels, and other facilities for recreation.

I really like in terms of feees as you will get all your fees refunded through scholarship.
The campus of college is really good as the college is away from the main market and city so environment is very peacefull and silent. You can study silently without any disturbance noise in the library as well in the hostel.
The faculty is very supportive in terms of study and projects also.

Dislikes

Placement cell is not active that much. You have to prepare for the off campus placement.
The wi-fi speed is not as good sometimes it get disconnected automatically.
Not have proper playing grounds and the ground was also not cleaned by the management we students used to clean it.

Students view on course curriculum

The course curriculum is good but the more you missing is the practical part after that the theory part. In this college you need to study mostly subject from the youtube for in-depth knowledge. If you have to prepare for the gate exam then you surely have to do self study and to study from the youtube because the teachers gives you only that knowledge which is important for the semester exam. If you are interested or you have any doubt teachers will surely help you to solve that doubt easily and also help you in the subject preparation.

Placement scenario in campus and average package being offered

The placement cell is not so active and here you will have to prepare for mostly the off campus placement for high paying packages otherwise the average package is 3LPA which may be not meet your expectations. The highest package from this college is off campus palcement. if you are a hardworker and have proper skills and knowledge you will deifnitely get placed . so my suggestion is that to also enjoy your college life but also be a hardworker and become a job creator.

What are the different fees associated in the college and scholarships availability?

The tuition fees for every year of college is 62300Rs. There is also caution money 5000Rs for the first time you need to pay. The hostel fee for every semester is 10000Rs. Caution money that we need pay in first year only which is refundable. Mess fee for every semseter is 15900Rs. We get scholarship approx 50K to 60K. Your college fee is almost get refunded through scholarship. So in terms for scholarship and college fees this college really has supporting staff and teachers. you can also get external benefits if you get the fee wavier seat. The fee is not increasing every year.

Various events and extra curricular activities organized in the college

The college has good campus and it also conducts many fests in a year. here is event for freshers on which mr. and mrs. fresher of the year. there are so many events conducts like as Udbhav, Umang, Annual Fest, farewell , hackathon etc. In extra curricular activities treasure hunt, volleyboll tournament , interbranch cricket match , Badminton tournament and also other activities takes place.

Facilities provided in the college hostel

You will be provided one bed and one separate almirah and a chair and table in a room it may be of two or three students in a room. Mess food is not that much good but as compare to other college it is decent from other colleges. You will get 24hr wi-fi and electricity the toilets and washrooms are the average but it also get cleaned weelkly. In summer time you will face shortage of water in the college and may also have sometimes high temperature.

Students view on faculties and evaluation criteria followed in the college

Maximum faculty is very helpful and they clear your every doubt regarding the subject but some of the teachers need to upgrade or to change their teaching style as they cannot understand your doubts properly. The faculty of all the branches are really good and specially the faculty of EE branch is really supportive. You can also participate in the hackathon and also in many upcoming events. Basically there are three CT exam held in every semester out of which best one marks considered. Each semester exam consist of internal exam whose marks depend upon CT, VIVA and overall your behaviour and performance in the class.

Admission Process of the college

I choose this college the fees is more affordable as compare to other colleges. i give the jee mains exam and after that i participated in the aktu counselling the counselling is so late so we get late admissions and at the time of college filling i prefer this college because of the good faculty as i listens everywhere but expectations not meet as i think. if you have to prepare for the gate or any other high level JOB you can sure come here otherwise you will get nothing else here. Everything is just the average you will not enjoy as college life.

I liked the environment and the location of the college surrounded by the mini mountains.
College infrastructure and in campus facilities .

Dislikes

The locality near the college very backward.
Lack of resources nearby the college. There very less travel facilities and vehicle fares are expensive.

Admission:

Being a government college, it provides good points in any basic resume. This is the main reason I applied for it. I was not planning to start college immediately after school, so, I did not applies to any colleges. At my time of admission I got the college through UPSEE counselling.

Also the campus of college is really good as the environment in sonbhadra is really good. Its good for study.

Admission:

I choose this college the fees is more affordable as compare to other colleges. I did not get any rejection from any other colleges but the fees in private colleges is really high. For the admission in this college you need qualify AKTU's UPSC exam that happens before 2021 but now you can get college through JEE mains counselling. Cutoffs for this college increasing day by day. So it is required qualify jee mains for this college.

I had taken UPTU exam and got rank of around 12k in general and got this college. My category rank was around 1600 and I got this college at last round of my counselling. Need to prepare several documents before starting counselling.

Dislikes

Lot of restrictions for walking and other too much thinks.
Transportation not proper . At night time you can't come to college.

Admission process by aktu counselling I got this college. Entrance exam - jee mains , process by submitting in aktu counselling in round 1 I got this and cut off 4 lakh AI and in cse- 84000 AI suprisingly good to see this college

Decent and affordable college.

Likes

Quit and calm environment so we can study easily
The college is in good place i.e in mountain.
No traffic sound come because too far from the main road.

Dislikes

The college is too far from the road so takes too much time and effort to reach.
Market is also too far so if have to take anything you have to go approx 2.5km.
In summer the temperature is too high so this is also a problem.

Admission:

Course eligibility is 10+2 with JEE Main exam. The admission process is very simple just you have to participate in UPCET counseling and take your seat. Yes, reservation benefits are also provided so you can easily get admission.

Good college for the students when they are not eligible for tier 2 colleges.

I like sports facilities. Students and facalty both are involved in sports. Which is very interesting.
Library one of best place for the study. A lot of facilities available in library.High speed wifi also available in whole campus.

Admission:

Eligibility is 10+2+ JEE MAINS. Application forms are available on the college website and the fee is approx 1000 after this you have to go to the college for admission. Reservation is also a category wise so you can get category benefits for sc/st students more relaxation provided. I want the admission process should be easier so that anyone can apply easily.

What are the accomodation facilities provided by REC Sonbhadra to its students?

REC Sonbhadra has hostel facilities available for both boys and girls. The hostel fee is INR 10 thousand per year. There is mess charges seperately charged- INR 15 thousand per year. Being a government college, the facilities are limited in REC. Table tennis court, badminton court, washing machine, Smart TV etc. are the facilities available here.

REC Sonbhadra has strength of highly qualified and seasoned faculty to guide the students regarding technical domain. The faculty members has done research work of which papers are published in National and International Journals.
