JD Birla Institute Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

From 5th semester. EY GDS , DELTAX , DITTO INSURANCE AND HSBC GSC have visited our campus as of now. Highest package was 6lpa and the average is 4 lpa. There's a high percentage of students getting placed and students applying. My plan is MBA

There is no specialisation from our year onwards because of the new NEP , so yeah we have to study all three main subjects , finance , HR and marketing which becomes a bit stressful for us , and somewhere we are getting taught EVS which is the syllabus of class 3 student

The campus placements start around the 4th semester. The overall placement of this college is a good many company come for placements such as PWC, TCS, WIPRO, my captain, top hire, roshi wellness. the placement cell was very supportive towards each student and helps the student regarding the placements. nearly 65% of the students get placed with an average salary of 2.5 lakhs p.a and the highest goes up to 9 lakhs p.a. my plans after getting the degree is to do MBA.

I haven't started yet. But my brother did BBA there and I heard the faculty members are one of the best in Kolkata. The student ratio was around 60:40, being girls: boys. I haven't taken any exams yet. I am yet to start my journey.

The factors i considered before choosing JDBI was because the fame, the weightage it has in the college market. Students from all over india come to get admission here. Though lacks in great infrastructure but makes it up when it comes to living upto expectations of enjoying college life though sports, events or any activity. The fest it organises every with unexpected celebrity lineup is what JDBI is known for.

After enquiring to alot of people, graduates from kolkata i got to know that JDBI is one of the bests in kolkata for Bba. I came across many situations that confused me to enroll for other colleges like amity, ilead and bhawanipur. But the response and my past cricketing career my form a boost and i was shortlisted for this college after a great PI round. Later i came to know it had a great fest here named invictus, also the events on daily basis carried out here gives you immense amount of experiences and exposure.

The reason for me getting into this college, JDBI because i had heard alot about its brilliant academics, social life, the excellent placements, great exposure. Also,all faculty team members holding Phd. Though had heard that the college shared its campus with school of the same trust and even their fee structure is high due comparetively. Also many students from my school have graduated from this college and are now placed.

So basically the reason i chose JDBI is because i am already from Birla high, kolkata which shares the campus with college so i already know the how abouts of the college, their placements, faculty, clubs and events that take place here. Being here and already being a part of this trust made me join this college honestly. Aparr from that this is amongst the best colleges in calcutta be it in any sphere.

I never wanted to settle down in kolkata but as my dad had studied from St. Xavier's college kolkata, he wanted even me to graduate from the same but i somehow could'not manage to crack the entrance there for Bba, so J.D Birla had to be the next best alternative for me if i was to stay there in kolkata. So here i am, in JDBI with no regrets and enjoying my college life, along with academics ofcourse.h

I had applied for two colleges here in kolkata and they were St.Xavier's College and JD Birla. I had to sit for an entrance exam for xavier's college, for which i had not prepared thoroughly to be honest so i could not crack the exam. While i was shortlisted for the personal interview round in J D Birla. According to my findings these two were the best colleges for BBA in kolkata be it in academics, exposure, placement or fests.
