Vivek College of Commerce Mumbai Faculty

Faculties here are excellent no doubt. The only thing I love about Vivek is their quality of teaching and methods they use . They are very friendly and maintain that thin line between students and faculty.I love how Maria ma'am and Dipti ma'am are with me all the time if I happen to find any difficulty when studying. Um i only talk to few faculties so I've never experienced a non liking factor there. We give 4 exams in a year that is unit sem and unit sem. 90% of the class passes although papers are not that easy but if studied and focused well on lectures one can easily score good marks.

The students and faculty ratio is like 120 students with 1 teacher per class The exams structure is like 11 subjects including 1 co curriculum Exams are of 50 marks 20 marks of internals 30 marks of written exams

The faculties are very friendly and nice and talking and teaching behaviour is good and all have a good knowledge of its subject. But the strictness is on top because these are all wants to study and achieve your goal in life. So The teachers can care about your future.

Vivek College has the best teaching facilities. They are not only experienced but also counsellors in nature. Most of the professors hold professional degrees like CA, PhD and other certified degrees. All the professors follow a structured pattern to help the students understand their topics and doubts.

I don't remember the actual count of lectures but I can say there were around 500 lectures all together in a year the teaching faculty was well qualified and the minimum age of the facilities was between 35 to 45 years. For eg one of our faculty was b.com, m.com, b.ed, mba(education), Net cleared. So pretty much all of the teaching staff was well versed and highly qualified.

All kind of age teachers are there. Many teachers have worked in IT industry for around 5 to 6 years and then served to this college from last 15 to 16 years. Some teachers even have ISTQB certifications. They work IT or Microprocessor labs for more years.

In our college there has a list of course and degree for the student the degree students has only four to five lectures but in exam period the teachers take some extra lecture for their subject for the course students the lecture timning is lengthy and break for every lecture gap.

In my college my course's all classes are being taken at morning. In a week the classes are taken on Monday to Saturday. In a day there are 4 to 5 classes in our course. Each class are taken for one hour. Between two classes there are a 5 minutes break time.

As I said that faculties are very helpful.. they have qualities to make the whole class to listen to them. Nisha Pillai ma'am is my most favourite teacher from degree college. Junior College will indeed be the best moment of my life. We had Santosh Sangle sir for E.V.S. who literally made our 2 years memorable with his jokes in middle of the studies. then we had Asif Sir, Padmini ma'am, Jayshree ma'am, Vijayalaxmi ma'am, Aparna ma'am, these are my favourite teachers. I didn't pursue my post graduation from this college but I know Pradeep Hathi Sir who teaches to Masters students. He is really cooperative. He is my sis's fav sir also. recently in Viva of our college he had come to my college of (Mithibai) as an external guide, Mithibai's Students also liked his way of conducting viva. He is indeed cooperative.

As per my experience vivek college is culture oriented and most faculties there are experienced and talk about their experience to the students. Studies are planned by teacher's and their style of teaching make me easier to understand studies.
