Experience in Girijananda Chowdhury University

Likes

The thing that I like about Girijananda Chowdhury University is that the college provides a medium for students to showcase its talent
The college faculties are always there to help and solve the students doubts
The college mentors are of a great help. They are always there to guide other than academic problems

Dislikes

The thing I disiliked about Girijananda Chowdhury University is that there is no proper parking spot
The college gym is of not that great .It can be developed
The college playing ground is not that great .It can be improved

Internships Opportunities:

The college provides a opportunities for internship. Students can also go for off campus internship. I did a off campus internship in which I was a unpaid intern.The internship provided by college is also unpaid

My college

Likes

Teachers are very friendly and supportive. They even give student to student personal counselling.
College campus is beautiful. The hostel rooms are good in size.
Training and placement cell is very good in providing good placements to every students.

Dislikes

Classes doesn't happen frequently in higher semesters

Internships Opportunities:

Companies like hcl, wipro, astc provide internships to our college students. The students work there for about a month as a trainee. Stipends are around 10000 to 15000. The internships can also last from 6 months to 12 months regarding the job role.

A comprehensive look at GIMT Guwahati

Likes

Professors and staff they were very helpful towards the students and always ready to help
The environment of college was quite clean with trees and plants
Syllabus complete within time and proper notes availability which is very helpful during examination

Dislikes

Washroom should be provided with more mirrors and dustbins
Lab equipments are limited so during project works we have to wait for the availability of equipments
Canteen food is limited and a bit pricey

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards students can sit for college placements Various companies visited, some of them are RDC Concrete pvt.limited, Planetspark Techowiz Ion exchange India Infosys Ultratech cement Highest package was 5lpa and the lowest package was 2.5 lpa On an average you need above 65% to apply for college placement I got placed in RDC company and saptak Exterio company and I have joined saptak Exterio and currently working there as an architecture

One of the well reputated college of northeast

Likes

College campus is good the building were of old style which are kinda cool
Dean is super cool she is very friendly towards students
Placement according to previous records it improving

Dislikes

Only the sports ground need maintenance there is not even a proper ground

Placement Experience:

Placement is good as compare to other private college Average package is 400000 and highest is 1200000. There are many company which has visited our campus like planet shake,mahindra,wipro etc Percentage of students placed is approx 60-70%

Faculty members are the best part of the college.

Dislikes

Everything is available including wifi, labs, classrooms and libraries.
Washrooms are very clean, hygienic and well maintained.
We also have a workshop and an indoor stadium which has a gym also.

Internships Opportunities:

Our college offers credited Summer internships for both the undergraduate and postgraduate students and also long term internships with duration of six months or more. There is also provision for internships for students from other organisations in specialised areas and departments.

Likes

The campus is very beautiful with trees and plants everywhere
There are various fests and competitions held in here.
The faculty members are very friendly and are regular in classes

Dislikes

The food of the canteen can be developed a bit

Internships Opportunities:

There are various internship opportunities in our college. Compulsory internships start from the 4th sem but during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sem, there are internship opportunities too which are not compulsory but interested one's can join. By the end of 2nd sem, an internship program was held for us with the Airport Authority of India.

I really appreciate the teaching staff, they try to clear your concepts to the most they can
Classrooms are cool and not uncomfortable
There is greenery in the courtyard and sitting place to chill as well

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are done in private or government-recognised places by the students. AutoCAD, staadpro are some internship courses done by civil students. there are also some social experiments like visiting orphanages

Likes

Mode of teaching and learning , and faculties are really helpful in all the way
Playground sports activities and my social groups
The campus infrastructure and development

Dislikes

The timing of the classes because its start from 9am till 5pm
Considering everything i just have suggestions please provide good food in canteen
Everything is fine nothing is there to dislike

Internships Opportunities:

I offered an internship in IIT guwahati which is really good , I learnt all about machine learning , Ai and python programming. Which is useful for me throughout my job they offered a stipend for 5000 for 3 months..

My experience of college life

Likes

Faculty is too good they are so kind they help you whenever u need them
Seniors are also good they are so friendly
Sports week we get explore ourselves and be free to play

Dislikes

No proper field for playing cricket or football

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are Bosch, Sbi, Hdfc, Dalmia etc about 100 offers were made the highest 12lpa and the average is 6.5 lpa 70 75% of students got placed after getting the degree I will try to settle down
