Life at Avani

Likes

Its way more free than other colleges , students get to do a lot of stuff .
Students are seen as adults and not kids, so we have a say
There is no strict mentorship we can learn from anyone

Dislikes

A lot of partiality , not very fair marking
Quite judgemental, and because its aided college , they do what they please
Does not follow the calender, public holidays are not considered like ganthi jayanthi etc

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very subjective, one faculty's opinion would be completely opposite to anothers so we have to take opinions and think for ourselves , even tho there are many subjects only designing is considered important by the students and the rest are just for the sake of passing the university exam.

Likes

The faculties are so friendly and so approachable. That is good for our classes and after discussions.
The female and male ratio is 1:3 as a male i like it tho but.
They conduct exhibitions and workshops often and it helps us a lot in ways.

Dislikes

Less cultural events from the students and support from the administration to do something of culturals.
Less support for sports from the administration especially financially.
The construction of the college is not fully done so that is also a small thing i don't like.

I like architecture because of its creatove and practicality. And in pur college they are making sure of combining those two together. Their teaching methods are good for me because i am learning so much. But not for everyone they are sl friendly in outside i think if they are so friendly in college . The students might like the letures more. The jury and exams are mostly collide that is a not good thing for us. They are making sure of the real world works so that we can actually survive after the college.

Likes

Faculties are very straight forward and approachable they are more like friends so you feel really welcomed
Even though faculties are like friends they are good at managing academics so there is a very good balance between academics and fun
Good amount of exposure in form of site visits and case studies which enables students to learn better

Dislikes

Hostel food could be better in terms of quantity as well as quality altho the taste is good
Network connectivity is not there so the only source is the collage wifi which is extremely unreliable
The location is not very accessible and the people around are not very friendly since they have a dispute with the collage authorities so going out alone is mot safe

The carriculum is interactive and helps devwlop critical thinking and problem solving skills the integraction of technological aspects in form of softwares like cad sketchus and righno helps a lot. Altho most of it starts from semester 5 which could be applied earlier for better learning.

Life at avani

Likes

The most important thing I like about our collage is the campus. Our campus is not very huge like other. But the comfort and the homely feeling when you enter the collage is amazing. The oat, amphitheatre and triple height is the most highlight space
Campus hostel is very good. It is very clean and neat compared to other hostels.
The faculties are very friendly. usually faculties in other collage doesn't allow us to sleep in class but here you can.

Dislikes

The hostel timing. We have to enter the hostel campus before 8 pm which I thought was unnecessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very creative. Each sem we have very different and creative projects. And as an architect such creative , challenging and problem solving projects are what pushes one to be a good architect

AVANI FOR ME !

Likes

My college has an amazing infrastructure. Like the campus is soooo beautiful with lush gardens throughout and an open building
The faculties here are too good . They are highly qualified and is really good
We have very less number of people here so we create a community which is bonded together

Dislikes

The course structure here is hectic due to which we might face a bit of difficulties
The rooms provided are small and is not enough for 4 people to stay
We don’t have much of programs here but when we host , it’s great

The curriculum that we follow here is of Calicut University. I'm currently in my 3rd semester and I really like that . Throughout my 1st year I really had a great experience because we had gained experience with all sought of materials

Good Express till now

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

No. I am petty satisfied in this college and proud of being a student of this college. From admin block to faculty to seniors to all the people who are part of this Avani family, they all are always approachable and will always help if required. They all are very much friendly.
