symbiosis international university : A cirrculum for the future

excellent faculty , and i think there is a no need of improvement. best college . i am in my dream college
infrastructure is awesome mainly the main branch of SIU - symbiosis international university
quality of people in college if they are student or faculty all faculties are higher level of professor or ma'am

Dislikes

i dont think so the things i disliked in this college
just the main campus is very awesome . just because its very far from my college
just one thing i said above in second point the one thing i dislike is main campus is far from my campus SIU -> SICSR

*i selected this college because in bca top 3 college in india . my college is in top 10. i just applied for one more college in india is christ demed university in banglore . * i didnt rejected no college i think about for symbiosis only and i got admission my goodness

Likes

The faculty is very nice and highly experienced
The classrooms are well equipped and they all have switch boards
The library and the canteen are also very good

Dislikes

Admission:

The uniqueness of the college course which they provide the blend of majorly management and information technology leaves me stunned because this course is rare and the placement of our seniors has also been pretty well the college faculty surpasses all the expectations

The unique opportunity of staying in computer field after commerce

Likes

Teachers are top notch as they are very experienced in their respective fields
Canteen Affordability is great. Students can even get there breakfast and lunch from Canteen itself at a reasonable amount
Computer Labs are in great shape and kept very clean at all times

Dislikes

Campus Facilities are very limited i.e Library and Reading room
No extra circular activities are conducted in the college ones that are conducted are in other campuses on symbioisis
All the events are held in the parking lot of the college making it very difficult to enjoy them.

Admission:

I applied to NMIMS and MIT WPU and i got confirmed admission in both of them NMIMS i got selected for Navi Mumbai Branch and decided to reject it due to high living expenses in mumbai and I reject MIT WPU due to lack of placment opportunities. Admission process of SICSR includes an online exam called SET and if you get qualified then you are called for an Interview round. There are seperate qoutas for special categories and international students. Cutoff for this exams are genrally 40-50 marks out of 60 for the written test and PI is for 40 marks.

SICSR Life

Likes

College Location is pretty great as it is in the heart of the city.
The girls to boys ratio is also pretty decent. It’s like 2:3.

Dislikes

Classroom infrastructure. The classrooms better get equipped with ACs and Smart boards -_-
The visiting faculties don’t teach properly. It’s like they have no dedication at all.

Admission:

I had applied in LPU and Christ University, Bangalore but I chose Symbi bcuz it was always my first choice and reputation wise also Sumbi has the best reputation compared to the rest. Plus, Symbi ranks in the top 3 BCA universities in India. Even Christ comes in the top 3 but i feel it's just cuz of their high intake, whereas, SICSR only has an intake of 180 students for BCA.

Likes

The crowd is very good and decent, most of them are from out of the city
The teachers are helpful and understand the student

Dislikes

the campus is too small and we don't have a big ground
canteen food is mid and not tha great, should be improved

Admission:

i only applied to this college because this was the only college which had BCA in my city and also the only college which doesn't require SCIENCE to be a subject to be eligible for the course BCA, as other colleges require science also the admission process was very good and quick i had to prepare for SET - symbiosis entrance test which was easy and took me 2 months to prepare

Infrastructure was not as I expected as on the website it was a different campus as on the website

This college was my first preference as i had heard about it from my seniors and done research about it online. The admission process includes symbiosis admission exam which is the SET exam which is for both bca and bba-it

Likes

Staff is very understanding and cooperative
Staff is very experienced and the teaching is very well
Placements are very decent as compared to other colleges

Dislikes

For my course there’s only a building so there’s less space
We don’t have our own campus it’s just a building
Because of our small area of college we don’t get enough events

College has a great canteen area nice place to chill
It also has big ground for playing every sports
And last but not least it has an ac library which helps a lot in summer season

Dislikes

The one thing I dislike is about the projectors in the college
On each floor it has only 1 to 2 ac room
And the placement are not good according to the cource bca

Admission:

To be honest I have applied for 2 colleges that is symbiosis and the other is Manipal I have compared all the aspects like building are of. College the staff the placement and after the set exam I got call from symbiosis Then I left my home for the college that's why I choose symbiosis over Manipal

Placement Season, College Life..

Likes

The People here. Everyone is from different places but all are very nice
The faculty. Very helpful, knowledgeable and humble.
The extra-curricular activities. There is sports, dance, music, gym, swimming pool, yoga, zumba and much more.

Dislikes

The campus. Not what I had expected. Could have been much better.
The infrastructure. The classrooms could be better.
Holidays. They should give more holidays.

Admission:

I also applied to colleges in my state and the college I am currently studying in. I chose this college because it is one of the top colleges in India for the course I am pursuing and I got selected. The admission process of my college is like this - first you have to give a MCQ based aptitude test and if you pass then you go to the next round that is divided into two parts, first is you will be given a random topic on which you have to write about and the second part is PI. If you pass you get accepted. Both the marks are consolidated and then the students are selected.

Thought of SICSR

Likes

The curriculum is very uptodate which is the most i like about the college
The faculty is efficient and systematic which sets clear goals in future and the faculty is young which helps them understand our problems
Students all over from india and outside which helps in socialising with each others and gainning knowledge from it

Dislikes

The campus is very small it is a building the classrooms are okay
The classroom does not give a proper college vibe and doesn'tportray a symbiosis college
Fees is very high according to the facilities available at the college
