There is good infrastructure in the college everywhere there is motivation quotes are written everywhere for students,there is eklavya sports complex in college there any students can play any sports free of charge
Faculty are very supportive teachers are qualified very friendly and supportive too.
Only one campus has all the courses available which makes it easy for students.

Dislikes

The process of obtaining permission from heads for student organised events can be troublesome and difficult
now comes the bad part which i think need to be considered before joining this college and enjoying the life. so here are my negative thoughts on this college
Sometimes the watchman behaviour is rude to talk

K J Somaiya College is incomparable!!

Likes

One of the biggest campuses with atleast 4 canteens and a special maggie point which is mostly our gathering point as well.
Our washrooms are so clean and plus seperate washrooms for girls make it convinient for us during periods.
Most caring faculties on earth is available at out college.

Dislikes

Our management is laid back as it takes them a long time to process documentation.
Many times classes get cancelled as repair work in on even during peak time of the college.

Placement Experience:

Placements for B. Com are around 40% as seminars and training for placements hapens from the second year. We are taught skills and CV building as what sort of CV can impress the recruiter. From Flipkart to Lodha Developers to Indusind Bank, we have industries of many domains offering jobs to sudents of our college.

Life At Somaiya Being A 3rd Year Student Pursuing BCOM.

Likes

A rich and lavish campus lifestyle of the campus
The hygienic and tasty food from college mess
The quality of the infrastructure and campus amenities

Dislikes

The security is too strict with different genders being together even at a safe distance.
Can't even play games, or card games or board games in campus.
The canteens are always full throughout the day.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year of study. The College hosted 25 companies in the year 2023 such as HDFC, ICICI, Deloitte, etc. The highest package offered was 8lpa whilst the average package offered was 4lpa. Approximately 82% of students were successfully placed. My Plan after this degree is to pursue a professional course named as CS (Company Secretary)

The college campus is best which creates a good atmosphere
The college has many facilities for students with adequate staff members.
The college organizes many events, fests which encourages students.

Dislikes

The college campus should be kept clean and safe for students.
The benches should be replaced with new one for comfy.
The campus has many dogs which would be quite dangerous

Somaiya University : Joy with Value

Likes

This college motivates students to take part in various extra curricular activities which pushes them to develop their personality by socialising. It also helps building leadership skills in them.
The faculties of this college provide personalised notes to the students to help them study better.
During fests and other events, students are provided with the opportunity to set up their stalls of variety of things which supports and promots entrepreneurship.

Dislikes

This is a well known University, due to which large amount of students takes admissions resulting into difficulty to give individual attention.
The faculties as well as staff of Somaiya University is not as helpful with students as they should be, this leads to unnecessary confusion among students.
More than one faculty is allocated to a single subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the course for a very great extent. However, few subjects which are unnecessary are added to the curriculum and made them compulsory. For instance, subjects like 'Indian Knowledge System', 'Panchtantra', 'Me and My Surroundings', etc. are completely irrelevant but yet added to the course curriculum. The exams are held after every 3-4 months. Which considering the portion is very reasonable. The difficulty level can be rated as 4 out of 5.

I like my college

Likes

I liked the teachers they are polite to everyone and i can ask them my doubts about any things related to studys they help us everytime they make time for us to clear out doubts and i liked about this about them
They are able to talk n clear everything they helps us in exam too college canteen is good the atmosphere is very good we feel very good
Campus is very big and i love being there college also keeps fest which is very interesting

Course Curriculum Overview:

The timing of internal viva is of 10 minutes we need to tell about the project n explain about the topics of viva and the timing of external is of 2.5 hours in that external paper we have to write and attempt every question

THE BUNKING COLLEGE- SOMAIYA

Likes

The college faculties are good enough to have some educational conversation, can get ur doubts solved within less time and get study materials
Library facilities with over more than 20000 books which can be accessed through college IDs
Conference from all over the world related to education takes place once or twice every month

Dislikes

There should be good electrical fittings like fan lights etc needs to be replaced
The office staff should respond well which they don't do always

Placement Experience:

After 2nd year , students become eligible for campus placements conferences are held regarding placements were students get an opportunity to get jobs , College also has a placement cell which offers students.50% students get placements while other opt the other methods from outside.

Best college life

Likes

Liked the environment of my colleague also teachers
Events that happen in college every year are to be the best
Canteen facilities are nice as well as they have big grounds to spend time also there are many dogs around with whom you can play and feel very calm

Dislikes

Exam dates that are given unexpectedly also they come in between those days where we are supposed to enjoy
I hate exam timings and vivas also they give shittu assignment to do

It's just that I found interesting in this course that's why I choose it also the teaching methods of the teachers are actually nice and chill they won't pressure much on you but still things work nicely and it helps in clearing concepts

Most convenient college

Likes

I liked the crowd of the college, it is fun , day to day events and activities are conducted , Very good management
Huge campus , includes 4-5 canteens and maggie house , synthetic running track , football field , basketball and badminton Courts , various other amenities
Clean washroom , hygienic , respectful staff and teachers , auditorium room with AC , library, IT lab

Dislikes

No air conditioning available throughout the college
Issues in fan , lack of discipline , basic amenities are not convenient

As per the curriculum, which mostly helps in real world also For example - IT , excel is taught which now a days is a basic need in any company , listning speaking skills are enhanced by proper vivas and debat compitition in auditorium room Frequencies of exams are not very often Basic unit test are conducted to keep the students on track Main are semester exams which are conducted in june and october

Life of somaiyans

Likes

I liked the campus facilities and the other faculty to.
This college have good water and other facilities
The hooner fest conducted by this college is one of the best fest

Dislikes

I don't like the administration facilities
I also don't even like the washroom facilities
Lift facilities can only be avail by faculty members it's not open for students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to say that if you have any other plans like ill start preparing for cat so I would suggest you to if you have any other plans then go for BCOM if not then do BBA or any other courses. Don't go for BCOM if you don't have any other plans
