Faculty:

The faculties and teachers are the best. There are 2 main exams in each semester along with internals, assignment,field project. The teschers faculty staff members are very co operative and quite friendly.

K J Somaiya College is incomparable!!

As i believe they are the most caring on the planets. They will teach us with care and even in a class of 70 plus students each student are personally taken care of by our faculties. They dont just offer help inside the class but we always have the option of walking to the classrooms and take our matters with them there as well.

Life At Somaiya Being A 3rd Year Student Pursuing BCOM.

The faculty memebers are polite and well behaved. The teaching staff especially is good and is responsible for most of the good reputation of the college. The teachers are polite and respond to almost every question asked and answer them in an eay easy for the students to understand.

An Extract of My Experience at KJ Somaiya for MCOM

Likes

People are nice, faculties are nice, but admin office employees are very rude. they have really great collection of books in library and there are a lots of libraries within the campus.

Dislikes

Faculty is not very professional & experienced, im not saying all professors. but some of them are actually really Good in teaching

we have like 8 teachers of 120 students batch. unnlike admin staff, teacher are really good, like some of them are not very professional but still they are very nice to students and posses great knowledge. I really like Samiullah Khan sir, he has great knowledge of Economics and his teaching style is very good, one more teacher I like unfortunately he just passed away like 2 weeks ago, he was very kind person, his name was Jai Ganeshani, he was Corporate finance teacher. I dont like Priya ma'am she just come, sit and talk. no professionalism just like a casual talk, there are 2 semester, level of exam depends student to student, since Im doing CA along with Mcom, I dont even study to be honest, coz ive already studied all the relevent things in CA. so for me its very easy, but students do fail exam like around 40% students.

Teachers are very helpful towards students.
I liked overall environment and the teaching staff.

My overall experince about my college is very good till date but there can are some things that i don't really enjoy and one of it the schedule of my lectures as it feels too hectic for me as well as for my batchmates.

Somaiya University : Joy with Value

The faculties of this college provide personalised notes to the students to help them study better.
Through various forums and departments, knowledgeable and experienced faculties discusses about currents issues of the society and their solutions with students.

The faculties as well as staff of Somaiya University is not as helpful with students as they should be, this leads to unnecessary confusion among students.
More than one faculty is allocated to a single subject.

The student faculty ratio is really low. Large amount of students being allocated to two to three faculties. However, many faculties are helpful and approachable. The exams are difficult. Many students fail to pass them if not studied attentively during the semester. The course curriculum is related to the course for the most of the part. However, few subjects like 'Indian Knowledge System' which are completely unrelated, are compulsory.

I like my college

I liked the teachers they are polite to everyone and i can ask them my doubts about any things related to studys they help us everytime they make time for us to clear out doubts and i liked about this about them
They are able to talk n clear everything they helps us in exam too college canteen is good the atmosphere is very good we feel very good

There are 4 sems in a year one is internal and one is external which internals have assignments and viva which is of 25 marks and 75 marks is of external exams and the total sem is of 100 marks which is good

The best decision of my life was choosing this college

There are 2 exams in the whole year . The exams are very easy but a lot of students who don't study fail to clear these exams. They teach us everything really well so we do not have much issues writing the exam if we have under everything

THE BUNKING COLLEGE- SOMAIYA

The college faculties are good enough to have some educational conversation, can get ur doubts solved within less time and get study materials

The faculty can be approached anytime through online or offline mode...For every 100 students there are bare minimum 2 faculty members. There are two semesters every year consisting of 9 papers each also there are internal exams along with project submissions etc. Almost 25% students failt to clear the exams and give ATKT examinations
