The teaching staff is amazing, providing in depth knowledge of every subject, making it easier to have a good grasp on the subjects.
Montage, the annual cultural fest of jmc is great, giving us 2 full days of enjoyment and exposure.
!but it's good because we have to write in a very short and beautiful way!

Dislikes

Annual cultural fest is not as good as other du colleges
No air conditioner- there are no air conditioners in classrooms except in the library and the lab, however at such a low fee structure you cannot expect air conditioned classrooms
The library staffs are rude in nature and students find it difficult to communicate with them.

Inside the Campus of JMC

Likes

I personally like the crowd and infrastucture of Jesus and Mary College. People here are friendly and helpful.
The infrastructure is much better than other colleges.
Hygiene is well maintained in washrooms and overal campus area

Dislikes

The canteen is packed and doesnt have proper ventilation
Lack of sports activities and opportunities for students.
Librarian in quite rude and not supportive at times

the course curriculum is great we get the opportunity to diversify our knowledge the Vac like emotional intelligence help students to get well awared about their own and others emotions as well. overall the structure foster modern learning.

The Inside Life of JMC

Likes

The infrastructure of college is very nice.
The canteen is reasonable and hygiene along with decent variety
The faculty and overal administration is co operative

Dislikes

The curriculum is quite based on theoretical aspect.
The administration is slow and have a lengthy procedure
The placement Cell is quite inactive and biased

The curriculum provides not a alot but with some real life skills. Once or twice a month we have session with alumni or others to learn industry skills and also sec element have excel power BI and other courses as well.

JMC life my way

I think the best thing about JMC which everyone would agree to would be it's architecture being way better than other DU colleges. the architecture , it's whole vibe, the aesthetic , covered with greenery and alot of gardens is best .
I think also one of the best things is the girl friendships that you find in this college is unreal. very less toxicity, alot of fun and filled with laughter energy.
also the I love the faculty , very disciplined and aligned towards the children.

Dislikes

the canteen is really bad , I do not like it's good at all , does not taste nice , though there are coke and mother dairy kisoks those are nice.
the one thing I dislike is that the classes do not have acs and it is difficult to survive delhi heat without it
there are no pgs as such near JMC because it's is completely embassies area and so you have to travel everyday for it .

business law being one of the subject under it mainly motivated me towards it . there is alot to learn from business law and is very beneficial. as I said I am pursuing ca so the curriculum helps alot towards it , also in the real life application the subjects like commerce and mainly accounts play a very crucial role. no such improvement according to my end because the curriculum is correct , though i just think that there should be more interactive sessions.

Jesus and Mary college- The college that has it all

Likes

I really like the campus of my college. It feels really nice to sit outside classrooms makes me feel close to nature
Quality education- The teachers of the commerce department are amazing.
The events my college organises are very fun

Dislikes

Back to back classes. The schedule is tightly packed
The canteen is small and cannot accomodate more than 20 people at a time
The college does not provide placement opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and includes not only theoratical knowledge but also practical knowledge. Our evs teacher takes us to various places to teach us and does not stick to only the book. The curriculum includes assignments that add value to a person.

Placements at Jesus and Mary College are good . Students usually become eligible for placement from 5th semester. The placement cell brings a mix of companies offering varied roles . several well known companies vosot each year and make multiple offers

All you can know about JMC, DU

Likes

A very beautiful and well maintained campus! Near and clean at all times. There are dustbins at almost every 100 meters. The lush green parks and grounds really give a pleasing vibe. Especially, the aravali rocks make you feel really close to nature.
The variety of food is awesome! No student has to ever worry about bringing a tiffin. Chinese, north indian, south indian, italian and what not. They also have a special mother dairy and bhelpuri corner. Seating area is also well maintained. Kudos!
Course is very rigorous. The faculty is highly experienced and trained. All assignments are given with ample time to finish. Teachers are very understanding. They have also installed smart boards insude the classroom which help in virtual learning

Dislikes

Non availability of air conditioners or coolers. During the summer heat, it is difficult to sit in classes back to back for 4 hours sometimes without any source of coolers or ACs, that makes it really difficult to concentrate and sit

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about placements as a first year. But highest package is 23.5 LPA and median was 13 LPA. Companies visited were accenture, EY etc. the placement report for 2025 batch had not yet been uploaded on the website

Jmc college life

Likes

The infrastructure and outdoor greenery and grounds are wonderful.
The vibe of the campus is cozy and comfortable.
The environment is is academically productive as there are many active college societies.

Dislikes

The rules and regulations get too much sometimes .
The attendance criteria of minimum 67% is too difficult to achieve .
The fests feel a little dull sometimes as compared to private colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the main subject curriculum is just fine but the AEC SEC and VAC criteria is just not as productive as it may seem . Teaching hindi COMPULSORY to students of all courses is just not right. Also, SEC classes on saturdays take up too much time and do not let students induldge in other self productive activities .
