• AMSOM provides UG programs including a bachelor’ degree in Business Administration, Commerce and an Integrated MBA. 
• PG programs include Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Heritage Management, Economics and Global Executive MBA 
• Admissions for all of the UG programs are done through the common application form, and selection of the candidates on the basis of merit. 
• Admission for the PG programs is done on the basis of the admission tests scores (CAT/XAT/MAT/NMAT/CMAT/GRE/SNAP) and past academic records. 
• Admission to the MMS ( Masters’ of Management Studies) program in Heritage Management will be done on the basis of academics, statement of purpose, portfolio or admission test score. 
• Admission to the MA-Economics program will be done by the institute on the basis of academics and written exams by the institute. CUET PG scores is also accepted for the program.
• Admission for the PhD programs are done on the basis of the admission tests scores (CAT/GATE/GMAT/GRE/JRF/UGC-NET/MAT/ATMA) and past academic records
• The candidate’s final selection is subject to past academic records, work experience, Admission test score, SOP, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

AMSOM Important Dates

AMSOM offers admissions to undergraduate programmes co-ordinated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Ahmedabad University. It gives a platform for diverse talents with motivation, focusing them for building their careers. 

AMSOM offers undergraduate courses in the following programs. 

• Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours)
• Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)
• Bachelor of Commerce Professional (Honours)
• Integrated Master of Business Administration

In the Integrated Masters Program, candidate receives the bachelor’s as well as the master’s degree at the end of the successful completion of the five-year Programme.

The specialisations for BBA program are mentioned in the table below. 

Candidate can exit from their Integrated MBA program with an appropriate Bachelor’s degree after completion of the Bachelor’s degree requirement. 

AMSOM UG Eligibility Criteria

• For all UG programs, candidates with good academic performance and intellectual curriculars’ achievements throughout 10th to 12th grades will be preferred. 
• Other parameters for eligibility could be
  • Extracurricular Achievements

• Students of 12 standard, who will be appearing for final examinations or awaiting for the results, can also apply for the undergraduate program through Early Admissions. 
• In Early Admissions, candidate can obtain provisional admission the 12th standard results are published results are declared. 
• The final admission will stay hold up till the declaration of results,after satisfying the conditions stated. 
• Reservations for candidates will be made by relaxing the academic aggregate for the categories, as followed by the Government of Gujarat;
  • 10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates
  • 7% relaxation for Socially and Educationally Backward candidates

AMSOM UG Selection Criteria

• Candidates after submitting the application form will have to go through the selection criteria conducted by AMSOM. 
• Candidates, on the basis of their 10th, 11th and 12th standard scores will be selected for the admission
• If applicable, candidates will have to submit a personal statement as well that explains about their unique and talent that would make them suitable to join the institute. 
• Candidates will also be adjudged on the basis of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, internships, volunteering activities, sports, performing arts, cultural and social service participation
• Candidates submitting their SAT scores while completing their application form and must provide the official transcript through the College Board to Ahmedabad University, using Institution Code 6760.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to go through another round of Personal interaction, where candidates achievements, passions, attitudes, motivation, readiness to learn shall be adjudged. 
• For outstation candidates, Skype sessions shall be conducted
• Selected candidates will be informed regarding their further process of fee payment and enrollment procedure. 
• All the candidates will have to submit the original certificates, along with their photocopies at the time of admission
• The admission is subjected to Ahmedabad University Approval

AMSOM offers admissions to full-time MBA programs coordinated by the Office of Graduate Admissions, Ahmedabad University. 

It facilitates the students to pursue various fields of management and learn robust techniques and methods concerning the modern changes and challenges in business administration. This programme is designed for fresh graduates as well as junior and mid-level working professionals and entrepreneurs. Students can create their specialization portfolio not only across courses offered by the AMSOM but also across other Schools and Centres of Ahmedabad University. Route Camp, the experimental learning module of the MBA programme, provides a platform to translate theory into practice. 

AMSOM offers two years full-time Master’s program in Business Administration offering the students to choose their electives from a multitude of courses offered by other programmes of the University. 

AMSOM MBA Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 45% aggregate marks during graduation are allowed for SC/ST candidates. 
• Bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of three years of education after higher secondary education (10+2).
• Candidates who have just cleared their final examinations of Bachelor’s degree must produce a certificate from the authority of the institute, stating that the candidate has scored 50% marks (minimum) based on the latest available marks
• Candidates will have to submit their final mark sheet and degree for verification before December provided he/she has met with eligibility criteria
• Reservations for candidates will be made by relaxing the academic aggregate for the categories, as followed by the Government of Gujarat;
  • 10% relaxation for SC/ST candidates
  • 7% relaxation for Socially and Educationally Backward candidates

AMSOM MBA Selection Criteria

• Eligible candidates must apply through the online application form with payment of a non-refundable application fee of INR1200 (inclusive of GST). Upon online registration, candidates will be issued a unique login id which should be used for subsequent admission process correspondence.
• Duly filled application form along with the application fee can be submitted as per the Admission Schedule (please see below).
• Candidates are strongly recommended to access the unique login id and their registered email id on a regular basis for admission updates.
• Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email and through the application portal about the status of their application as per the Admission Schedule (please see below).
• All shortlisted candidates will be required to take a Writing Assessment Test (WAT) and will be called for personal interaction on specified dates, which will be informed to them via email communications.
• A candidate appearing for the Personal Interaction round is required to report at least Forty-Five (45) Minutes in advance as per the schedule and verify the documents with MBA Admission Officials.
• If a candidate cannot appear for the Personal Interaction round on the scheduled date due to unavoidable circumstances, the candidate may request prior in writing to the MBA Admission Office at AMSOM along with documentary evidence showing the reason for their inability to appear on the scheduled date and seek an alternative arrangement within the stipulated Personal Interaction schedule. The MBA Admission Office will take an appropriate decision on such a request. The decision of the Admission Office shall be final and binding.
• The candidates must bring the following documents in original along with one set of self-attested photocopies of the documents for verification at the time of Personal Interaction:
• Mark sheets of 12th Standard & Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. 
• Certificate of equivalence for conversion of GPA/CPI/CGPA etc into a percentage.
• CAT 2023 / CMAT 2023 / NMAT 2023/ MAT 2023-24 / SNAP 2023 / XAT 2023 / GRE 2018-24 / GMAT 2018-24 score-card.
• Identity Proof
• Experience Certificate if any

Note(s): 
1. If at any stage, the information provided by a candidate is found to be false, his candidature/admission shall be cancelled.
2. Merit list and a waiting list will be communicated to candidates on the candidate’s unique login id on the mentioned date, which will be communicated in advance
3. All the candidates who are offered admissions should complete admission formalities by the deadline date. If a candidate fails to adhere to this deadline, the admission offer shall stand cancelled, and the seat will be offered to the waitlisted candidate

Shortlisting Criteria

• If the candidate does not score the minimum prescribed holistic score (academic and competitive), she will not be considered for the Personal Interaction round shortlisting.

Final Admission Criteria

• All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in the Writing Assessment Test (WAT) and Personal Interaction (PI) rounds for admission.
• After the WAT & PI round, selection criteria consider weight to Personal Interview (PI), Writing Assessment Test (WAT), weight to Competitive Entrance Exam percentile/score, and Academic Scores.

AMSOM PG Eligibility Criteria

AMSOM PG Selection Criteria

• Candidates after submitting the application form will have to go through the selection criteria conducted by AMSOM, Ahmedabad. 
• Candidates, on the basis of admission test scores will be shortlisted for the selection rounds and intimated through email / sms 
• Candidates with extraordinary achievements in extra-curricular or co-curricular activities or with work experience will be an added advantage. 
• Candidates will also be adjudged on the basis of three parameters;
  • Written test/Aptitude Test ( if applicable)
  • Personal Interaction
  • Academic and Background score 
• Candidates applying for Heritage Management shall have to submit a Statement of Purpose and Portfolio/Admission test scores. 
• Statement of Purpose shall contain why you want to join this program in 500-1000 words, written in English
• In Portfolio, candidates will have to express their interest in the heritage sector by submitting a portfolio of any flexible design. If the candidate has an admission test score, he/she can skip submitting the portfolio. 
• Standard Test Score will be the same as required for the MBA admission process if submitted. 
• The different weightage for each of the parameters would be as follows, for Heritage Management

• For Global Executive MBA, candidates will have to appear for Ahmedabad University Executive Admission Test (AUEAT)
• AUEAT will assess candidates' abilities in logical reasoning, written & verbal communication and quantitative skills including the personal interaction round.

AMSOM provides scholarships for meritorious and financially deprived candidates into categories

Need-based Scholarships: For Undergraduate and Graduate students with partial or almost complete tuition fee waiver scheme. Students must have a minimum of 2.0 CGPA in a year

Merit Scholarships: For Undergraduate students providing them with a 100% waiver of the tuition fees for the first year. For further years, it will be awarded on the basis of their academic performance.
