The Experience at Ahmedabad University

I chose to do BBA as i want to go in the field of management in the future. The ciriculum prepares you well for the real world. They should focus on more practical learning then theoritical knowledge. The exam timings are different everytime.

Till now, I have not taken any internship opportunity from the college as my internship is left. However, college provides internship and so far what i have heard is that mostly interns work in banks and big mncs. I have no idea about the stipend amount.

The campus placement of our university is fair enough. There are big companies coming up like wipro, icici bank, hdfc and amazon. The highest package offered is of 16 lakhs while the average package is of 4.5 lakhs. My plan after getting degree is to pursue MBA

The current fees structure of my course is Rs. 450000. It is for one whole year. The fees includes everything like tuition fees and materials fees which are given to us by the university. Earlier in my first year it was 420000. Gradually every year my fees is increasing. The admission charge is Rs.250. The fees of my batchmate is different from my course. There is both need based and merit based scholarships available for students.

There are fest happening like concourse, ingenium, panorama fouth yest in college every year. Apart from that there are 4 libraries with exclusive collection of books from every genre. Yes, classrooms are equipped with full technical provisions like projectors. There are many sports like badminton, basketfall, football, chess, table tennis, squash etc.. And there are 30+ clubs in the university like dance, music, theatre, art and craft, photography.

Apart from Ahmedabad University, I had applied in PDPU college, Gandhinagar. There also I had got confirmed seat. Apart from this I also got admission in 16 other colleges from Surat. But i chose ahmedabad university then other universities because of it's culture, infrastructure, it is in city center and lastly because i wanted to do liberal studies that's why i chose this college over there.Liberal studies is where you study different subjects from different domains like law, data science, biology, ethics etc. Total 32 different subjects we need to study and then need to select our major. So according to the major I will get my degree. The eligibility criteria for this university is minimum 75% in 12th board with a good statement of purpose on a given topic. If your form is selected then you will be called for a interview, post your interview, if get's clear, you will get your offer from the university side.

The faculty to student ratio is 75 students per 1 teacher (75:1). The relation between students and faculty is really very good. All the professors here are very approcahable. Per semester we have 2 exams, so in a year we have exams 4 times. The papers are set medium. Mostly all the student clear the exam. The couse cirriculum is average.

Yes I had faced both interview and written test for the admission. Firstly on the given topic I had to write a statement of purpose. It is a essay which talks about your personality and you need to associate it with the given topic. Then, my essay was selected, after which I was faced with an interview. I prepared for these rounds through a coaching class which trains you for these college entrance exams.

My favourite hangout spot in university is the student lounge. All gym, cafeteria are open till 9:00 pm. Yo can leave hostel after 10:00 pm. Campus is 24*7 open. Yes the locality is safe to roam around at night. There are many food hawkers outside the university so there you get good food otherwise there are many cafes near by where you can visit.
