Faculty:
I must acknowledge that my college has faculties who have deep knowledge in their areas. I have even observed some of them who have done their phd from prestigious universities like university of Chicago, IITs, etc.
The exam structure is not common to all courses, it is designed specifically for each course in according to the course outline. For example some courses which are more research and analytical based have more assignments than written exam. Even the percentage for grade component is different for different cources.
So for grading component we have mainly five components:class participation, quizzes, mid sem,end sem and assignments.
Also, my perspective on observing faculty members have changed. Earlier I used to think more the experience means better the teaching methodology, this Outlook was completely changed in my past semester, as I was doing the same course with my friend, but we were in different sections, I had one faculty who was highly experienced and had even experience of working in IIM. Whereas my other friend had faculty who was very young, maybe just completed his PhD, his teaching pattern was quite interactive and practical unlike my section's faculty.
