TKMCE Kollam Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The special placement training program by the college which lasts a week will be on the 6th semester and companies will visit college by S7 starting. The core companies were Shobha, L&T, Gulf Asia, Paradigm etc. Some students from our dept. got placement at TCS & TCE. Shobha offers 5000DHS as monthly salary, which is nearly 13.64LPA. The highest CTC offered to our batch student was 34 LPA and 2 students from CS Dept. got placed. On an average, 50% students got placed here and some of the students have secured admission at top IIMs like IIMA through CAT and some others are hoping to get admission at renowned IITs and NITs for having good rank in GATE 2024.

Placement cell is good in TKM. TKM college is known for it's placements, Around 400+ companies are coming in different departments of engineering and hires students by larger amount. It was good about placements.

Form 7th semester onwards students are elgible for campus placements. Are there will be placement training in 6th Semester. Many software companies come everyyear including Wipro, TCS, SOTI etc. As for Mechanical Core Placwments there are completely less placement. Companies like L&T, Shobha Constructions,MRF Tyres etc recruit Mechanical Students. Amost 60-70% students get palces everywhere in non circuit branches and 70-80% in circuit branches. The avrg CTC is 4-5LPA and the highest CTC was as high as 32LPA.

Placements for students are eligible from 6th semester onwards . Whenever the student reaches sixth sem , the placement cell offers training to students of all classes on a massive amount . This trains the students to have a good placement. Also coming to the fact of being good at interviews. The highest package offered in this college is of 53 lakhs per annum and various companies is Oracle, IBM tata companies have been come for placement runs

The mechanical department and Civil department have been accredited for 6 years with the NAA certification. Placements in the college are not that great. Th3 average package offered goes around 4-5 lpa and highest is 15lpa. From 6th semester we can sit for placements. Almost all students who sit for placements get placed.

As I am a second year in the college we only know about the placements from the faculty and the seniors .Considering our 4th year senior batch most of the seniors about 70% of them are placed currently and belive that rest of them would be placed soon or later . The highest package is 38 LPA. As our college is now autonomous a lot of companies has been visiting our college for placement.I personally plan to take a master's in my degree

Placement for Btech in TKMCE is high whereas it for architecture is very low. I'm thinking of doing masters and working on a firm and to move abroad and practice there. Gulf countries and European countries offer good salary packagees for architecture so that's what I'm planning to do after college

Many companies including Scheduled banks are coming to TKM College for hiring professionals each year. More than 50% students are getting placed each year from civil department. Final year students are eligible for attending placement drives. This year, the highest package is offered by L & T and it is 6 lakh per annum. During previous years the highest package was nearly 12 Lakh per Annum. This year the average package is about 4 lakhs per annum. I didn't attend any placement drive as I am interested in startups

The placement is in the 7th semester and 6th semester. Actually the majority of students will get placed in bTech branches compared to architecture. The placement for bTech is actually good were the companies like Mahindra, BOSCH, L&T, TCS, Shobha realtoes etc. are doing the placement and above 70 percent students get placed every year in bTech. An avg pack of 4-6 lakhs and highest package was 34 LPA last year.
