Excellent faculty and teaching methods .good infrastructure and facilities .strong focus on research and innovation.encouragement for extracurricular activities
Life on the campus is excellent and beautiful hestia is the tech and culture fest in tkm college there is a central library for students it is open any time.
E grants are the scholarship for sc/st students and got good job and got stipend in months

Dislikes

High Expectations on students leads them to drop out of the degree.The students would always be under pressure from the starting of their second year.
College hostels for men for second-year students are not well-conditioned. They do not consider the needs of students, especially on exam days. The toilet condition is also not well-maintained on the last block
The area where the college is surrounded is much less comparatively. All the departments are connected and closer. Parking area is limited and prioritised for faculty Parking. The auditorium space is also very limited

Good college

Likes

The college campus is actually nice. Good faculty
Good social life and good interactions.

Dislikes

Hostel food need to be better. Also placement should be provided for barch

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed is as per the ktu ( kerala technology University). Since now its autonomous there's changes in the curriculum. For my batch, there was 2 series exams in a semester. The teaching methods are fine

The infrastructure of the college is very nice.
Offers very good placements from good companies.

Dislikes

Programs are less in number in odd semesters.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements here are very good and especially in the computer science department the highest package was 34 LPA and it is very huge considering comparing to the other colleges in this state in every branches. There are placements like this with an average of 10 LPA so the employment rate in our college is a bit high.

Likes

There are very much room for improvement of your social skills, various clubs are highly active in the college and conduct programs often.

Dislikes

The location, the roads are crowed. The traffic. Located right in the middle of kollam city, and the rush is something i really want to avoid

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's certain boards and committees within the management that are actively looking out the best methods to improve the students quality. I choose this college. The timings of the exams are a mess and hectic I feel like there should be more time given for the students to indulge in self improvement and studies

From 6 th semester students are eligible for campus placement here many companies visit every year like TCS Infosys l&t speridien flex Mahindra tech Mahindra last year a student was placed with a CTC of thirty one lakhs

I liked my campus very much as there are many beautiful sceneries and they have a lot of facilities.
The programmes conducted are damn good like techfests and exhibitions
The place is very lively and students of the campus are supportive

Placement Experience:

Students are applicable for campus placement after the 6th Semester. A wide variety of companies come to grab someone who has the caliber to work for their company.Companies Like Oracle,Wipro,TATA often recieve students for placements.The Highest package is about 20 LPA and average package is about 4-5 LPA

TKM College of Engineering - A place you should try

Likes

The faculty and their duties perform really well to help the students
The campus is clean and tidy and has a strict agenda to follow
Everything is under control by the head and everyone feels safe

Dislikes

Some of the classes were not too pleasing
We haven't got a complete access to study what we want
Irrelevant and outdated topics are still present in the syllabus

Placement Experience:

I am now a second year student so I don't have a complete knowledge about the campus placements. But the previous year placement oppurtunities were very good as per the records. 88 out of 140 were placed.

TKM college of engineering is one of the oldest engineery colleges,i am curently stuying here,i have very fond memories of this place.

Likes

facilities are good and fees is also less.
proper guideness is given and faculities are well educated
college is not in a rural ,its near to the kollam city,only 5km from kollam city.

Dislikes

campus is small compared to other colleges
hostel food is not that good compared to other hostels.

Placement Experience:

placements varies according to branches and years college says that everyone who doesnt have supply will be placed atleast in one company and yes its right most of the time placements are provied in the college itself

Tkm offers you good placement opportunities.The main companies that have offered placement opportunities to graduating students of TKM college of engineering are oracle,Wipro, TATA, Federal Bank etc. The college has good infrastructure and facilities.Placement packages range from 4-5 LPA to 15-20 LPA.The college has good placement opportunities in the IT sector. The placement cell of the college is very effective.The college conducts placement events with reputed firms.

College Excellence : It's been 58 years since the college has started it's expedition,excelling in academics,sports and in making creative minds.This spirit has lead the college into making one of top five engineering colleges in kerala.
The Infrastructure : The college is known for it's classic architecture ,growing facilities and innovations.The college provides the students a hand-on experience in every branches
The experienced faculty : The faculty will be always there to guide us through everything that relates the academic as well as non-academic opportunities. The faculty is always cooperative .

Dislikes

High Expectations on students leads them to drop out of the degree.The students would always be under pressure from the starting of their second year.
As an hostler, the food was always an problem.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 7 on wards the students are eligible for campus placements. The average package was 6-7lakhs and the highest was 34 Lakh.My plan after getting the degree is to do an mtech in nanotechnology.

Choose your life at TKM College of Engineering

Likes

Good sports background and training, You will love the college if you are into sports.
Good campus, neat and clean campus. Not too big nor a small campus.

Dislikes

75% attendance is compulsory to write university exam.
Hostel food sucks. Most tkmians face hostel food as their major disadvantage.
Not all the faculties are the same.. some of them are not in a good way of teaching

Placement Experience:

College provide good number of placements. Higher packages of placements are low in number but the number of offers college receives are higher. Average LPA this year is about 4.5 L And the highest is 32L
