Course Curriculum Overview:
I would rate the course curriculum around 7.5 to 8 out of 10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness.
One of the main reasons I chose this course was the strong foundation it offers in core computer science subjects. The inclusion of subjects like Data Structures, Operating Systems, Database Management Systems, Computer Networks, and Theory of Computation makes the curriculum technically solid. Programming subjects like C, C++, Java, and Python also help in building logic and problem-solving skills from the beginning. The addition of subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing in higher semesters is also a good step toward aligning with current industry trends.
In terms of real-world preparation, the curriculum provides a good theoretical base. Lab sessions and mini projects help in understanding practical implementation. However, in my opinion, the syllabus is sometimes more theory-oriented than industry-oriented. While it prepares students well for competitive exams like GATE or higher studies, students aiming for product-based companies still need to do extra preparation on coding platforms and work on personal projects.
For improvement, I think more focus should be given to:
Industry-based projects from 2nd year itself
Regular workshops on latest technologies
Internship guidance and mentorship programs
More practical assignments instead of only written exams
Updating some older subjects to match current industry requirements
