To be honest, I chose information technology as my course because it is one of the simplest courses in the engineering field. Considering the size of the college, I would say the student ratio is pretty high.
No, the college does not provide internship facilities. However, there are many workshops and seminars organized by IEEE and Foss cell that allow students to connect with the practical world. Therefore, workshops and seminars are beneficial.

Dislikes

The placement for VLSI and embedded in campus is poor; recruiters wont come to college for recruitment.
The loan facility is not directly availed by the college, but it is the college that decides the expenditure for the student.

An overview of GEC Idukki

Remarks:

Firstly because it is a Government engineering College so the fees is quite low and affordable. Idukki has a great climate and weather. But college campus is quite small and does not include any grounds for sports activities (other than basketball). There was no issues based on the admission process and registration during admission. The staff are quite good at what thet do and all the classes are smart classes with all the modern day facilities. Overall this college would be an amazing choice.

VLSI and embedded systems is a rare course in Kerala, Gec Idukki is one of the govt college which provides this course, Moreover they provides scholarship depending on marks obtained in previous sem. Hostel facility are also provided with less fees

The best college with efficient teachers

Admission:

MCAP central allotment process provided by the Kerala government, the brochure is available in DTE's site and GATE should be qualified and the admission is purely based on merit and the 1st chance is given to gate qualified fellows and next for non gate.

Government engineering College idukki

Admission:

Keam exam is the entrance exam Admission starts in June/July. Study hard and attend the exam. The exam is not that hard if you are good with the concepts in physics and chemistry and mainly mathmatics. If you are good in mathmatics then you can score high in your entrance exam.
