Does college provide hostel facilities?

Yes. The institution has hostel facilities. However, it is just for boys. The occupant capacity is 200. A separate girls hostel for SC/ ST students is under construction at present.

Can I do my M Tech from college?

The Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu does not offer M Tech courses. It only offers to BE courses in the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Can I get lateral entry to this college?

Yes. The institution has provisions for lateral entry in the college. 10% of the seats may be filled in BE 3rd Semester via lateral entry.

How do I know if I am eligible for admission to the college?

In order to be eligible for admission in this college, the candidate needs to score at least 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 with English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects from J&K Board of School Education or its equivalent. A relaxation of 10% is given to the students belonging to the SC/ ST categories. Moreover, the aspirant also needs to sit for the JKCET. The marks and the subsequent rank shall decide if they may take admission in the institute.

I like the teachers behaviour towards the students. The open environment, flexibility regarding co-curricular activities etc.
opportunities to participate in all events.Freedom of speech and expression.The infrastructure, student-teacher understanding and self confidence giving vibes.
way of teaching, the faculty is really great and engaging with the students.

Faculty:

The faculty members were outstanding.They provide the best knowledge to their students.They complete their syllabus on time . Exams were conducted in time. we give total 3 exams .1st and 2nd exams were minor exams which were conducted in our own campus and our 3rd exam was a major exam which was conducted in another campus . The level of exam was moderate to difficult. Almost maximum students passed their exams with good percentile.

Faculty:

there is 1 to 60 ratio in class and some teachers are very soft towards student and are very approachable. I like maths faculty because the teacher makes classes more interesting and he is said to to best teacher of our college. I dont like the physics faculty beacuse he is to lazy and slow and are end sems are near but that person is not able to complete the syllabus till now. there are 3 theory and one practical exams in a sem. 2 sessional and 1 final. exams are fair some are tough and some are easy its depends

Every proffersors is highly qualified and experienced.
The faculty is very good they are very supportive.

Faculty:

There are 6 subjects for 1st sem in each courses. There are two sessional exam are conducted by college and after that final were taken by university. 60-70% of students pass the exam . Few subjects are difficult and few are easy.

Faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable. They cover each and every subject with every particular topic. Moreover the exam pattern consists of 8 questions of 20 marks each. And students have to do any 5 marks that makes the total of 100 marks.
