An honest review about GCET Jammu

As I am a E&C student I used to love electronics and was always curious how these things works that's why I chose this course. The labs here are nice but still have some faults like defective instruments. The frequency of exams are like in every month with mediocre difficulty level.

Academic fees is almost 50000 per year which can be considered as value for money. Students can get scholarship based on your family earning and get enough money to pay their academic fees. Hostel facility have different fees structure.

Campus is very nice and beautiful and is green everywhere. They have a different library block which lots of books and a quite place to study. The classrooms are not well maintained and needs repairs in certain places. Sports facilities are also poor here.

Hostel rooms are quite nice but not the bathroom, the conditions of bathroom are like public bathrooms. Mess food is quite good with variety to things everyday. The hostel is quite affordable option for students as hostel fees for a single semester is 2-3k and for mess it is 14-15k in a semester.

I applied for several colleges but my parents wanted me to do engineering and here in my state. I got B.Sc in Skuast Jammu and B.Sc in DU but my parents thought there wasn't any scope in B.Sc so I had to do B.Tech here.

Some faculties are very nice to students but some faculties are very rude and self centred and do favouritism among students. Exams here are almost every month but most of students manage to pass them.

The college closes of after 5 PM but as a hostel student we can walk here till 9 PM after that our hostel's gate get closed. There are certain stationery and fast food shops in front of main gate where students can rest and eat stuffs.
