All about canara engineering college

Likes

Environment is very gud. Forest area. Lots of snakes are found. Hostel facility is very nice. Buildings are gud. Teaching is very nice. Campus is newly built. Friendly environment. Big ground and auditorium

Faculty are very nice. Minimum post graduation and doctorate in their field. Engineering teacher and MBA teachers are available. Friendly nature teachers. I like it alot. Lots to tell but cant able to express all

Snakes are lot. Remote area. Hostel facility is not gud. Fees are very high. Mess and canteen are unhygienic. Grounds are filled will grass.
Maintainance is not gud. Fees are very high
Teachers are dominative , placement is not gud

7th sem students get availability for campus placements. Averages package is 320000 and maximum package is 22L per year. U get intership in college itself but I prefer outside the campus. It is upto your choice

It’s Okay to be not Okay

As the college location is not good still it’s a possitive because the place over here are less distracting and could help in focusing more peaceful on studies
Welll disciplined college , no ragging, more fun activities.
Friendly environment , good faculties, good friends

Dislikes

The effectiveness of teaching is not up to the mark.Here the teachers just focus on the syllabus to complete not making an effort to make the topics interesting and catch the students attention towards the topic
While coming to the placements or any activities more than the encouragement and making students how to face the interviews effectively they most probably pressurise and demotivate students by comparing with the previous statics of their placements
Food it’s a main problem here no good food no well maintained canteen not affordable prices too

The thing that influenced me to chose this computer science course is it's application in the real world it's importance in the emerging world and the social network n all this made me interested to chose this course. The curriculum set in the college for the course u have chose is fine wine whatever required basics are included here.

Best hostel life 2020-2024

Likes

The environment where the college was situated was great
The campus is average with greenary all around
Good teaching by the lecturers and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Placement was really bad and placement department is inappropriate
Canteen food served was average with not so suitable prices
The campus was very far away from the actual city

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course was good but few sem subjects were not really relevant and also order of subjects interms of semesters. The internals used be once a month and 2-3 exams per day depending on the number of subjects.

Canara engineering college- experience summarized.

Likes

The college is pretty good to be honest. The faculties are really friendly. The average age gap is also pretty less. So I believe students and lectiurers can connect very well. They will guide you to the right direction.
The faculties provide sound knowledge on the subject they are teaching, and if your main goal is to study well and get good marks, this is the college for you to opt
Placement are pretty good, considering the fact that it is a tier 3 college.

Dislikes

The campus lacks a color theme, and is poorly structured.
It is in a literal forest, so away from the city which makes it difficult for students to travel back and forth.
There is less bus facility. There is barely 1 bus for every 2-3 hours. Auto charge is too expensive otherwise.

Placement Experience:

College placement is pretty decent. The placement coordinators are working seriously hard inorder for the students to get placed. If quality of students are good, then placement chances are also high automatically.

We are engineers

Likes

Class rooms are clean and well maintained
Environment is so peaceful as no more vehicles come
People, especially some seniors are so supportive

Dislikes

Canteen food and the surrounding is not clean
No much opportunity to have fun and as the time table is also packed
Class room experience even though the class rooms are clean it feels suffocated in summer because of heat

As i had already mentioned, placement at our college is just so so not everyone are getting place are not everyone are selected for the placement drive with in the college and the amount they offer is also low

Likes

The atmosphere present around the college is very good and peaceful .
Lecturers are very friendly and supports us in studies.

Dislikes

The location of the college is not good . No much bus available to main busstand to college.
Lecturers doesn't show much intrest on students who participate in sports.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement in our college is good as our placement officer is very good . There are many good companies with high package coming to our college. So placement of our campus is good compared to other colleges and many students get placed.

My review of my college

Likes

The faculties are the one of the best in the college. They are ready to help you whenever you want. And most of them have previously worked in multinational corporations and startups.
The student are very friendly and are always ready to learn something new.

Dislikes

The college is located in very remote area. You dont have that easy access through buses.
Theres not enough exposure that we will get. We do get exposure but not in the same manner as other colleges do

Placement Experience:

There are placements in pur college. Students are eligible for placement from their 7th semester or start of the 4th year. There are variety of companies had come like SAP with their offer around (6-8lpa) and Samsung Electronics (6-8lpa), Tech Mahindra(6-7lpa)

Likes

Strong Academics: The college has great teachera, good facility and an okk placements. The teachers are very friendly and the labs have good facility and faculties.
There are many different happening throughout the years and there are clubs and counseling services.
Teaching staffs are very qualified and have good knowledge about the subject. And have good infrastructure.

Dislikes

Rigid curriculum. There is lack of flexibility in choosing courses.
Inefficient administration: slow processing of student request.

Placement Experience:

The placements for my time was not that good it may be due to the Recession. Students are eligible for placements from the 6sem. I would say the average package would be around 4-5lpa. Around 80% were placed by the end of course but they were giving placements even after the course for the non placed student.

Likes

Best college for building a good career in engineering
Infrastructure is very good , each department has 3 to 4 labs .
Campus is very big and its filled with greenary

Dislikes

The college is not located in city it's outside the city
They give first preference for theory knowledge
Lectures are strict when it comes to project work

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is spot-on, covering everything needed for practical applications and future studies. It's why I chose this course. While it's solid overall, adding some interdisciplinary aspects and more chances for internships would be beneficial. The lectures are top-notch, with instructors who really know their relative field
