Course Curriculum Overview

5

I wanted to learn about the business system software as my particular interest was in engineering and i cudnt pursue my course in BBA. So when i got to know that there's a course called CSBS. I did research and joined at CEC. Thet teach you necessary soft skills and the skill which are needed for the real-world applications. There is a 1.5-2 months gap between each internal and 4 months gap between each semester.

Placement Experience

2.5

There are placements in pur college. Students are eligible for placement from their 7th semester or start of the 4th year. There are variety of companies had come like SAP with their offer around (6-8lpa) and Samsung Electronics (6-8lpa), Tech Mahindra(6-7lpa)

Fees and Financial Aid

The feee which i had paid for my course was1,15,000. The fees had reduced since i had admissioned through KCET exam. There an exam which college provides to konkani minorities through wich they can enter. And the fees will be reduced based on the performance. Few of my classmates have admissioned through that way and i got to know about it later.

Campus Life

3

There's variety of events happening such onam celebrations and the college fest called Akriti which all the students of our college eagerly wait to celebrate. It is celebrated at the beginning of May of every year. There are lots of clubs which are run by students and they keep activities for students every week of the day there will be an activity to attend or a seminar or a talk by professionals held.

Admission

I had applied for AJIET but opted out cause of fees. And then i had applied for seating through KCET procedure. And got seated in CEC. The admission process is simple you just need to have all the important documents required for your admission and rest all is smooth. Most of the students preferred by coming through KCET as it reduced the fees and it is good. There is different cutoffs for different branches and courses.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is very high. The faculties are very friendly if u approached them and they are ready to help you with your projects and your doubts. I liked Tara B B maam she helped me get settled in the college environment and her teachings and knowledge she had was excellent. There are two internal exams in a sem and later there is a sem exam every 4-5 months.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
