- I like the friendly behaviour of our faculty ,the environment in the college as it is located in the mountain of Jhalukbari and as Assam engineering college is one of the oldest government college of NorthEast India
- Greenery scenery makes the college more beautiful
- Placement are also decent in our college every year more than 50% students get placed
Dislikes
- Our college campus needs a proper boundary
- Roads should be made better as there are plot holes in it
- Many cars pass by our college road that's is nt good even some bus
Placement Experience:
Placements are preety impressive in our campus.
Students get to set in placements from 7th semester.
The companies that visit in our college are some of them are Tech Mahindra,Tata ,IOCL they recruit 10-15 students every year from each dept from which they want they offer 7-15 lpa.
Highest package is 22-25 lpa every year and avg is 4-5 lpa
Im preparing for competative exams after degree

- Little bit of lack of equipments, students engagement in activities, lack of participation of club activities
Placement Experience:
The placements are fine highest package being 24 lpa and 10loa average Psu like oil nrl iocl often take part in campus placements. Along with other companies like texas instruments, tcs tata advanced system etc also visits. Aside iit gandhinagar also offers seats for mtech programme to 3 students among top 5 in each branch without Gate.
I am planning for MBA

- Well experienced faculty members with working experience in technical field
- Very economical and budget friendly and has a very well established alumni network across India as well as abroad
- Hostel Culture induces discipline, creates a sense of respect and brotherhood. The college also boasts of great placement scenario compared to other colleges of the State
Dislikes
- Administration could have been better. Equipments provided in labs should have better calibration and should be upgraded
- Roads in the college should be well constructed and the campus area should be properly mapped out.
- Hostel Mess food and internet connectivity should be well facilitated and overall safety of the campus should be maintained
Placement Experience:
Various companies and PSUs offer placements to the students of AEC. Notable companies include- Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), Oil India, ONGC, Tata Chemicals, Vedanta, Ashok Leyland, L&T, etc. The highest package offered till now is 14LPA by Assam Petrochemical Limited and NRL. Median packages are in the range of 5-6 LPA. I myself being a civil engineering student plan to focus more in competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT etc.

- This is not a good road ,road are very bad ,this is a open campus

We have placement cell for placement and there comes many companies to hire the student in good amount of salary . To take a placement there is a selection exam to seat the placement cell . So everyone try to take in campus placement

- Well the environment of college is quite well. we have a lot of beautiful natural view.
- The deepor bill lake is present inside the campus. and very moderate temperature .
- for every 10 students there is a teacher in lab , so it gets helpful. and also the college union body is doing great job.
Dislikes
- the first thing i didnot like is that our college is not closed campus . it is open from all sides , so there are risk.
- teachers are also biased sometimes, so we really have to work hard .

Placement Experience:
The placements are below moderate. Only the best students get placed on campus. But the rest of the students get placed off campus by taking exams and all.
from 6th semester the students become eligible for placements.
Companies like NRL, OIL, IOCL, FLIPKART, AMAZON, VENDANTA and many more.
My plan is to opt for government positions by taking govt exams.

- Tiny college campus (shuru hote hi khatam)
- Poor infrastructure, worst placement, remote location
- Lastly the courses provided here are outdated
Course Curriculum Overview:
The teaching method depends from faculty to faculty some depend on the course syllabus while some believe in giving exact notes and some believe in taking class tests. It's purely on your luck what type of teachers you are allotted but all of them are very knowledgeable about their particular fields.

Getting enrolled into this college was a dream for me.
Since childhood I've heard about this college, it's achievements ,etc. All these made me chose this course.
Teaching method is quite good
Exams are conducted based on the academic calendar of the particular session
