Digboi college and my experience through it .

Likes

I like my teachers at all because they treat me so well also give us example that's why topics are to easy to understand
I like the time table of our college , because of it's good discipline.
Continuous classes , all the classes are daily basis and continuous because of good teaching staff.

Dislikes

Our college has many more rules because of it's new principal, i didn't like it
High crowd in admission, registration and fees counter. It has a little counter compare to students present in college
We have to attend class in various rooms and also rooms are very far from each other.

Admission:

I chose the college because i didn't want to leave my state as well as i have to find a reliable college suits my iq level or my financial state that's the main reason I chosed it . Also it has a hotel on it's campus thats why i took admission in the college also in the hostel because of it's low cost . Our admission process is to gather documents and certificates zerox and gave it to the counter with the required amount also have to select applied course online and have to zerox it and have to it with the rest documents.

A trip to AEC

Likes

Open campus provides real growth among students
Faculty and other staff members are real friendly
For native students our college provides strong sense of belongingness

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very old renovation is very much needed
The health and hygiene around the campus is needed to be improved
Hostel facility is needed to be more better

I chose for Assam Engineering College as it is one the most reputed college in Assam for engineering. Completing my degree from as such college definitely helps me with a nice start in my life. For getting into assam engineering College one needed to appear CEE which is the state entrance exam for engineering Colleges

Assam Engineering College: The step from where the path to dreams begin

Likes

Good overall atmosphere in the campus areas
Hostels are provided at an amazingly affordable rate
Many opportunities in fields of interest with clubs

Dislikes

The hierarchy of seniors and juniors being apart
The hygiene maintained in the hostels could be better
The absolute need of attendance even with reason

Admission:

I had tried getting into IITs or NITs but being in the general caste i couldn't meet the cutoff criteria but I aced the Combined Entrance Examination which is required to get into prestigious colleges of the North East like AEC, JEC etc.

Shades of assam engineering college

Likes

The college is an open campus which is very nice for the development of students
The faculty is very friendly and backs up minor inconveniences
Basic amenities are been provided and cleanliness and hygiene is maintained

Dislikes

I feel like they can do better with the infrastructure
Class schedule are something very hectic creating clash among events
The hostel food is not upto the mark often leading health issues

I like Very much it was beautiful. It has many loves which I loved because I have been options like photographing, club, martial arts, club, singing, clubs, travelling clubs, business club, finance, club, and many more.
I like about the culture programmes, the events of culture, night outs and functions. Upstanding famous singers were brought in this institute to sing and it was amazing experience. If I get a chance, I will go there again.
Environment was peaceful. Campus was very large and there were many hostels which was very affordable for me to adjust teaching styles and teaching methods were very effective and favourable for me was amazing. Teacher was also amazing.

Dislikes

It is very strict. In case of Aven. You cannot absent a single day absent. It will deduct our Point I have been careful not absent if I have then I can apply, but then also I will get only 25% of the absent days. It means that if I absent four days,

Likes

This college is near to my home town and my family don't allow me to go away from their so. They advised me to take the cee examination and finally, I got the Assam Engineering College with a very magnificent rank.

Life at Assam Engineering College

Likes

The college culture and the location of the college
Supportive and interactive seniors and are the best mentors
Students friendly and Excellent faculty and are higly qualified

Dislikes

College campus need much improve , as the campus is open campus
Number faculty for each department are less due the which there's always a delay in course completion
Hostel facilities needs improvement as students in 3rd year have share there room

Admission:

One who appeared for the JEE mains and JEE advanced and couldn't able to get into the NITs and IITs can add this college in their preference as the college provides lot of exposure and give lot of opportunities, students can get it into Assam Engineering College from both JEE main score or there is an another exam known as CEE (comvined entrance exam) its an state level Engineering collges entrance exam

Our college

Likes

The faculty are nice and helpful and the teaching is nice.
Their is hostel facility and their is separate hostel for the first year student.
The placement is decent and the average placement is about 700000.

Dislikes

Their is open campus, therefore many local public also live around the college.
The infrastructure is old and need improvement.
It is the first engineering college in the northeast but their is not a central library, their is library but not central library

I have applied in the jee mains exam but unfortunately I couldn't clear the exam so I appear in the state engineering exam in which I got the college other than I have not appear in the other college. Due to lack of preparation i couldn't clear the exam. After clearing the state engineering exam which is named as CEE ( Combined entrance exam) their is counselling process after that you can get seat.

A good college

Likes

It has a good environment, good scenery.
It has many trees , surrounded by jungles due to which we can breath natural air
Teachers are friendly nature, helps in our personal life as well as.

Dislikes

Roads are not good, many vehicles passed every day by our road

It is the oldest college of northeast India. We have most experience faculties of Assam. We get the best knowledge from our teachers. We have the most popular cultural fest. Bollywood aingers are invited in our college fest

In my opinion, the likelihood of your profile getting into Assam Engineering College highly depends on which category you belong to. Primarily, the chances of students from the reserved categories have better chances of getting in with a low score as compared to those coming from general categories.

The following table shows the expected cut off of Assam CEE as per the category:

For the year 2016, the cutoff for the general category at AEC, Guwahati is 130, whereas that for OBC and SC category students was 99 and 93 respectively. The grades may fluctuate on the higher side generally. Other than this, there are a number of factors that affect the cut-off. This includes:

The reputation of the college or institute you are applying to.
Cut off from previous years
Course or stream of engineering that you may choose
