It's cost around 4lakh 10 thousand for four years.its a opportunity to grab the renowned scholarship like svmcm, national and all.
I like the teachers of our college. they are good at teaching
The college campuse is not so big but beautiful and better than other colleges in kolkata.

Dislikes

The hostel of the college is very poor the food quality is very poor
Canteen food is so costly and the material is not so good
Faculty members are very bad for outside state students they will not reply you if you ask anything in hindi.

ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY

Likes

Teachers are very cooperative with students
Library and labs are well maintained and decorated.
Fees is low then other engineering college in West Bengal

Dislikes

As it is affiliated to MAKAUT it's syallabus is very vast.
Assignment pressure is their due to its self skill couldnot develop
Teachers force to attain classes and maintain 75 percent attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose CSE course because I have an interest in the core subjects of this course. The syllabus of this course is a bit vast . Almost every semester, some of the topics left untouched before the exams. If they reduced the syllabus then it will be way more effective and interesting for students. The difficulty level of exam is moderate.

Life at Academy of Technology

Likes

Teaching program in AOT is really good.All the teachers here are highly qualified and many teachers are from IITs, NITs and even MITs.The teaching material they provide and through their lectures help us easily understand our subjects.
The college infrastructure is well made and also well maintained.AOT provides us labs for our different subjects equipped with fully functional up to date lab equipments available for everyone.The lab teachers are knowledgeable and cooperative.
Sports is one of the many aspects I like about AOT.AOT encourages us to play football, basketball and volleyball providing us with seperate playing grounds and providing qualified coaches for each sports.AOT holds sports tournaments also.

Dislikes

The main thing I dislike about AOT is that is gives us too much pressure for academics. Doing daily assignments and classwork leaves us no time for skill development which is essential for BTech.
The makaut syllabus is very vast for us to complete in a small amount of time.

Placement Experience:

In recent years, the placement of this college has been better. It is now in the top 4 private Colleges for BTech in West Bengal. Almost every student gets placed if he fulfills the criteria. A lot of IT companies visit the college and recruit a lot of students. The average package is 360000 per annum.

College provide us a good a good company for the placemets.
Teachers are very cooperative with students.

Dislikes

In this college attendance is compulsary,so for sitting in semester exams we need to make 75 percent of attendance.
Syallabus is too large as college is under MAKAUT.

Placement Experience:

In recent years, this college has high placement rate it was ranked 4 in the state private engineering college. Almost every student who meets the criteria gets placed by companies. The average package is 4lakh per annum.

AOT - A brief review

Likes

There are well equipped laboratories present.
The college life is good with annual techfests and cultfests
The infrastructure of the college is good.

Dislikes

The syllabus is set up by the university and is not at par with other autonomous colleges.
Placements are not good and ROI is very bad.

Placement Experience:

On campus placement is extremely bad and has been ever so declining over the past few years. With most placements being grabbed by the students of core dept., and tech companies recruiting very few students from tech branches. The college however boasts a 142 percent placement record, taking into account the multiple offers that a single student gets.

My college honest review as a first year student

Likes

Good and helpful teaching staff and good placement ragging free campus
Good placement opportunity for all student
Cooperative teacher and teaching staff clean campus

Dislikes

Lack of fun events no fest or freshers are conducted

Placement Experience:

There is a 171% placement ratio for 2022 and a placement ratio of 141% in 2023 overall placement is very good almost every student is placed and are in good company and the average salary is around six to nine laks per annum.

Infrastructure is also good, every classroom is seperate and some are digital classroom also.
Campus life is also good, there are many sports activities is available in the campus.
Canteen food is very good which i personally like most.

Dislikes

You have to maintain 75% attendance during semester otherwise you are not allowed to sit in the exam.
Enviroment outside the college in not far better.

Placement Experience:

If your academics records are good and if you are good in your domain then you will be placed earlier. Every year company visited in the campus for recruitment and allowed to the 6th sem students onwards to sit in the placement. The basic cirteria for placement is generally your CGPA is upto your current semester should be above 7.
