It's cost around 4lakh 10 thousand for four years.its a opportunity to grab the renowned scholarship like svmcm, national and all.
I like the teachers of our college. they are good at teaching
The college campuse is not so big but beautiful and better than other colleges in kolkata.

Dislikes

The hostel of the college is very poor the food quality is very poor
Canteen food is so costly and the material is not so good
Faculty members are very bad for outside state students they will not reply you if you ask anything in hindi.

Life at Academy of Technology

Likes

Teaching program in AOT is really good.All the teachers here are highly qualified and many teachers are from IITs, NITs and even MITs.The teaching material they provide and through their lectures help us easily understand our subjects.
The college infrastructure is well made and also well maintained.AOT provides us labs for our different subjects equipped with fully functional up to date lab equipments available for everyone.The lab teachers are knowledgeable and cooperative.
Sports is one of the many aspects I like about AOT.AOT encourages us to play football, basketball and volleyball providing us with seperate playing grounds and providing qualified coaches for each sports.AOT holds sports tournaments also.

Dislikes

The main thing I dislike about AOT is that is gives us too much pressure for academics. Doing daily assignments and classwork leaves us no time for skill development which is essential for BTech.
The makaut syllabus is very vast for us to complete in a small amount of time.

Placement Experience:

In recent years, the placement of this college has been better. It is now in the top 4 private Colleges for BTech in West Bengal. Almost every student gets placed if he fulfills the criteria. A lot of IT companies visit the college and recruit a lot of students. The average package is 360000 per annum.

College provide us a good a good company for the placemets.
Teachers are very cooperative with students.

Dislikes

In this college attendance is compulsary,so for sitting in semester exams we need to make 75 percent of attendance.
Syallabus is too large as college is under MAKAUT.

Placement Experience:

In recent years, this college has high placement rate it was ranked 4 in the state private engineering college. Almost every student who meets the criteria gets placed by companies. The average package is 4lakh per annum.

Likes

I liked the college infrastructure and the amount of equipments in the college is more than enough for every students. Labs are well equipped with equipments. The teachers are knowledgeable and highly qualified.
The on campus placement is rising every year after the lockdown period and this college is now under top 4 private colleges in West Bengal.
There are a lot of clubs to join and if you're a volleyball, football and a basketball player , you'll spend a good time in this college because there is plenty of resources for these sorts.

Dislikes

I don't like the 75% attendence criteria of this college. There will be a very little time for your self development after college. And if your attendence doesn't fit the the 75% attendence criteria, you can't give exams.
The syllabus is very broad for each term. The last chapters always remains untaught before term exams. And the exam is also pretty tough and there is no pattern of questions from particular chapters. You have to study whole syllabus to perform good.
The hostel have so many restrictions and the food is not that good ( I get to know this from me hostel friends).

Placement Experience:

In recent years, the placement has been better . The college is outshining top private colleges in West Bengal and almost all the students whose criterias are met are placed in companies. Although the package is not much big but you'll get placed and gain experience for better companies and packages.

Here placement is good for previous some years but recently deu to corona pendamic placement is some how low compare to previous some year. but it is predicted in upcoming 1-2 years it is recovered. here average package 7 lpa something.

AOT - A brief review

Likes

There are well equipped laboratories present.
The college life is good with annual techfests and cultfests
The infrastructure of the college is good.

Dislikes

The syllabus is set up by the university and is not at par with other autonomous colleges.
Placements are not good and ROI is very bad.

Placement Experience:

On campus placement is extremely bad and has been ever so declining over the past few years. With most placements being grabbed by the students of core dept., and tech companies recruiting very few students from tech branches. The college however boasts a 142 percent placement record, taking into account the multiple offers that a single student gets.

Likes

The rules and regulations really helped me to be more punctual and determined.
Knowledgeable practical faculties and facilities provided to students
Faculties and their eagerness to teach all the students.

Dislikes

Sometime 75% attendence feels like unnecessary.
College is in the urban area. Transportation is only through train.
College rooms should have Air Conditioning in this tempting hot.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements and more than decent in this college.Throughout the years placements are more than 100%.Due to pandemic last year the graph was a bit inclined.But this year onwards the placements are started as quite good.

Likes

Good and helpful teaching staff and good placement ragging free campus
Good placement opportunity for all student
Cooperative teacher and teaching staff clean campus

Dislikes

Lack of fun events no fest or freshers are conducted

There is a 171% placement ratio for 2022 and a placement ratio of 141% in 2023 overall placement is very good almost every student is placed and are in good company and the average salary is around six to nine laks per annum.

Life in Academy of technology.

Likes

The classes are preety huge and technically fit for students.
This college has a separate basketball ground and a pond in which different creatures live.
The numbers of faculty member are quite good.

Dislikes

There is no extra curricular activity taken place.
For dsa lab, various computers are impaired.
The collage is situated in very rural area.

Due to recession the number of companies are gradually deacreses as compare to previous years. In this year very less compaines are welcomed by the college and the hiring process of those companies are highly difficult. I think only 15% students have cracked the placement criteria and join companies.

Infrastructure is also good, every classroom is seperate and some are digital classroom also.
Campus life is also good, there are many sports activities is available in the campus.
Canteen food is very good which i personally like most.

Dislikes

You have to maintain 75% attendance during semester otherwise you are not allowed to sit in the exam.
Enviroment outside the college in not far better.

Placement Experience:

If your academics records are good and if you are good in your domain then you will be placed earlier. Every year company visited in the campus for recruitment and allowed to the 6th sem students onwards to sit in the placement. The basic cirteria for placement is generally your CGPA is upto your current semester should be above 7.

It's my Dream college so very nice.

Likes

College campus is small but beautiful and green.
Faculty members are good for bengoli students as they speak in bangla.
College non teaching staffs are good specially accounts section staff

Dislikes

Smallcampus and there is no proper facility for sports
Irregular const6and there is no proper number of fans inside the class
Faculty members are very bad for outside state students they will not reply you if you ask anything in Hindi.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students are eligible for compus placement and there is good placement in computer science And engineering . there is average salary 5 lacks package.there are many companies are here.tcs Wipro Amazon Etc
