Dr. N. G. P. Arts and Science College was established by the Dr. N. G. P. Research and Educational Trust (formerly Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust), Coimbatore, in 1997. It has become one of the leading self-financing institutions for academics. The UGC granted the college autonomy in 2015-2016, and it is associated with
Bharathiar University in Coimbatore. The college was accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A++’ grade in the third cycle and ranked No. 75 by NIRF.
DRNGPASC is a co-educational, self-financing institute. The college currently offers 30 undergraduate, 17 postgraduate, and 12 research (Ph.D.) programs, as well as 4 postgraduate diplomas and 7 diplomas, across 32 well-established departments within six faculties.
Admission to all undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, and certificate courses is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Admission to the research courses is based on an entrance exam conducted by the institute, followed by an interview.
