I really liked the hostel facilities of this college
I also like the college hospital because it has good patient input
I also like the faculty teaching because they are well experienced
Dislikes
Too much crowded in the hospital so it makes some what clumsy
More traffic near the college and hospital
Ground is somewhat short it should have been little big
Course Curriculum Overview:
Basically over course is five years including one year internship mainly that influenced me to choose this course is its interaction with patients and exams will be conducted after two to three months regularly
I also like the hostel facilities and infrastructure
I liked a lot about hospital especially the patient input
Dislikes
Campus may be improved a lot because during rainy season there will be standing of water
Too much crowd in the hospital and college
College located in center of city it should have been in outskirts of city
Course Curriculum Overview:
Our curriculum is competency-based medical education also called CBME which is much better and improved lot compared to the previous curriculum it also focuses on the atecom that is attitude and ethics. The syllabus is completed b before the semester.
We have good support and mentorship from faculty also we have good interaction with professors and the teaching staff
Infrastructure is not that bad but average there scope for improvement
We have 24 hours library system in our college which is very useful for students
Dislikes
We don't have security guards for hostel
We have no cc tv camera on the hostel and too many robbery take place
We have very bad maintenance of mess with lots to improve
Course Curriculum Overview:
CBME curriculum is very patient approach oriented and has ATECOM class for the benifits of us where we interact with patients and patient centred and we support for the benifits of students and patient centred approach of learning
The college is near to my hometown bangalore so travelling is not a hassle.
The campus is big and a new building is being constructed for central library.
The people here are friendly in general and they accept you easily.
Dislikes
The college is basically the only landmark i know for this place. So there a not a lot of places to roam around.
Being a professional course the teachers wont really care about your understanding of the concepts. They open slides and finish their lectures
The roads withing the campus is really bad. So travelling inside the campus is a hassle, especially if its raining.
Course Curriculum Overview:
MBBS as a course has always been my dream. The closeness to what we study and what we actually do is what attracts me the most. Standard teaching methods are insufficient to build a good upcoming batch so newer methods must be adopted. The university is particularly strict about attendance, which is an irony considering the fact that we dont learn much in the college, rather we learn more by self study. Exams are conducted very frequently and are pretty difficult to pass. There will be 3 internal assessments and a final exam all of them consisting of both theory and practical exams.
A large campus, with new hostel and research facilities
Dislikes
Mess food is not so good, non veg once in a week
This city is in rural areas, not in a urban city so you can't roam outside much.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I had a lot of interest in human biology that influenced me to take the course. Especially in a government hospital, you have a lot of advantage of learning things practically
Exams are tough, with a huge amount of syllabus.
Highly qualified lecturers and their friendly behaviour
Library with all the required books and wifi connection
Dislikes
Hostel could be maintained still more clean
Hostel surroundings should be installed with camera
Campus needs nicer roads and light poles
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course because of the respect this profession has in the world
The curriculum focuses mainly on academics.
It also has non -academic activities like culturals and sports
Exams are conducted once in 3 months ,totally there are 3 internals and one final exam
I would like to add more activities into teaching like interactive sessions and seminars more frequently
The college is well equipped and a good campus with proper hostel facility and accomodation it has best NICU in entire Karnataka
Moreover the campus is at the city center and hence easy to access any works to be done
Overall the campus being government institution is very good with best teaching staffs
Dislikes
The campus is small with limited area of 25 acres and do not have good area for sports and other activities ,
Even though the patient input is very high the campus have limited sources for higher medical treatment
Most of the clinical departments like surgery, medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics have their private setups near the campus
Course Curriculum Overview:
This institution is very near to my residency so that I can come easily from my home ,and I had been seeing this institution from very long time and hence I decided to opt for this college the university exams are conducted once in a year and three internals in a year there is moderate level of difficulty and easy,we can clear our exams inspite of difficulty because of better teaching faculty
In this government medical college the patient input is very good
The professors are well talented and they make the class very interesting
Hospital infrastructure is too good with good ventilation
Dislikes
Being in city centre it feels somewhat clumsy
Compare to the area the patient input is too high
Mandya city still need to develop a lot compare to other cities
Course Curriculum Overview:
Personally I like medicine a lot and my dream was to choose the government medical college and they conduct exams for every three months which is pretty good it helps in assessing ourselves and it gives the scope to study for post graduate exams
The college building with ample amount of space and huge classes with excellent teachers
The hospital nearby and patient flow . We can get early clinical exposure through postings
Teaching faculty who themselves are doctors
Dislikes
The hospital is kind of old and campus is not very tidy
Huge burden and responsibilities of being an medical student
Course Curriculum Overview:
Persuading medicine is a Nobel profession.
Iam grateful to have taken MBBS .I got a free seat in the government medical College
The curriculum is known as Competency based learning, which ensures that we have an early clinical exposure in the postings in hospital with patients.
Yes, MBBS will have burden on our heads regarding studying huge lessons forms huge books
Exams are held as 3 internal assessment and 1 final exam
College is very active and the patients preferring this hostel is also more. Its a positive thing as we are more exposed to learning
Hostel is also very good . It provides all the facilities with minimum charge
Lecturers are also very supportive and encourage us on learning which makes learning much more interesting.
Dislikes
As the patients number is more in the hospital , there is a shortage of equipments
Since a lot of staffs are working , sometimes it’s overcrowded
Staffs are less in number which again creates a problem to look after so many people
Course Curriculum Overview:
The current curriculum in medical colleges of karnataka is CBME curriculum. It includes applied aspects as a result of which we are more exposed to patients and their health issues. It is a effective method as we learn practically from the very first year rather than mugging up through books. Exams are conducted once in a year but there will be 3 internals conducted from the college where a minimum of 40 % is necessary for eligibility to write the final exam. Even the attendance of 80% is necessary to be considered as eligible for writing the final exam.
