Is government college goods for mbbs?

Likes

Faculties are best in teaching with more clinical aspects
Boysbto girls ratio are equal with total strength of 150 members
Patient incoming are more as it provides wide range of clinical studies

Dislikes

To improve hospital and college infrastructure
Not giving more importance to sports and other extracurricular activities
Roads are very bad and they should maintain patient crowd

I applied to Bangalore medical and mysuru medical college,but due to more ranking I didn't get them Government colleges are best for persuing mbbs To get eligibility we have to clear neet with good marks and ranking

ALL ABOUT MIMS MANDYA

Likes

Lectur hall are well maintained.Projectors are used for the classes.
Auditorium in college campus used for various events and fests
College fest best for interactions and different activities in fest .

Dislikes

No canteen for students .No canteen is available in college campus.
College road are not good .Road should be develop .
Distance between college and hostel . It's like 1km walk from college to hostel.

Admission:

I choose this college because of good connectivity, Excellent faculties, infrastructure and patient load . Admission process is simple we have to write NEET exam after the qualification with 640+ marks one will get this college.

Managing MIMS,Mandya as a student

Likes

The weather in Mandya is very suitable for students , clean and dust free.
I like the simple infrastructure of the college and it's close proximity to the hospital and college
Huge patient load helps us to learn a lot about various diseases

Dislikes

The bathroom facilities in the college can be improved
The pathways must be cemented or paved for smoother navigation
Teaching is above average but can be better

Admission:

I had applied for BMC,MMC . I couldn't get those colleges owing to my all India rank in NEET exam. There is no other reason as to why I didn't get that college , MBBS government colleges are alloted purely based on marks in the NEET exam. For MBBS , there is generally 4 final exams for the end of 4 years and the last year is for internship

It is the government college and fees is less compared to private college
The patient flow is high in out hospital
The college has the 18 years of experience

Dislikes

The campus will be always busy and people will be walking allover the campus

Timing of the college is well as we get enough time.

Campus wise this actually good enough,we have seperate library and reading room in college,big play ground.

Dislikes

Hostel food where sometimes we cannot eat,because of unhigeine.
Hostel rooms are not at all good and mess bill compared to the food ehich they provide is unworthy.

Admission:

I have applied for many colleges this college was my fourth choice.my first three choices were Bangalore medical college,mysore medical college,atal bihari vajapeyee medical college.because these three colleges were having research institutions along with college so these colleges are better,my marks in NEET was 607 and i had OBC category along with rural quota.So if i had more than 630 i might have got any of these colleges.

Likes

The i liked the most about the College is that it got a good playground which can't be seen in many other medical colleges

Dislikes

Yeah,teaching here means prepare a ppt, being it to the class and display and read the same.Which i think could be improved

Admission:

As we all know that we can get into a medical colleges by giving neet ug exam And for Mandya medical College u you should have air within 30k for OBC I chose this college as the 2nd preference after Mysore medical College which I couldn't make it. Since these college are near to my home because I'm a Mysore resident

MIMS AS A CHOICE

Likes

Environment is good, college is situated amidst less pollution area
Campus is very much good as they have very well tree's around and various clubs
Teaching and libraries are very much good and maintained

Dislikes

Not great infrastructure and less area of campus
College ground is very much small for sports activities

Actually for choosing this college was based on counseling scheme of KEA authorities. We had put forth all the top notch Medical Universities based on their Ranking and there academic achievements including patient input from previous years These were the factors that influenced my choice over the college

Life at mims

Likes

College was gud with the best clinical exposure. Hostel, college and hospiral are sutuated within the same campus so there will be no transport issues
Fest will be held in college college like SAMBHRAMA which is cultural fest, and VIRAATA which is sport events

Dislikes

Hygiene is not maintained in hostel and food is not up to the mark

Admission:

I took this college because of fame and it was near to my hometown and my parents forced to take this college as it was nearer. I do applied for other top college but i was not alloted with those colleges because of huge cutoff compared to previous years
