I chose to come to Canada primarily because of the fact that my family was moving here. I chose to study at York University due to its Goodwill and name in the market. My overall experience was a little below my expectations as the course did not really add to my current knowledge base.

Since I am in the 4 months of my studies, nothing has happened yet. No company has visited.

I have been dreaming of studying in Canada since class 10 in 2017. But Covid happened so I couldn't leave. When I was in college in India I really loved the subject of Human Resources Management and I decided to study it in canada as well and then decided York University for the same. York University has amazing rankings for faculty and teaching norms. Also, I wanted to go to a University and see how it feels to study in a university. Also, HRM is considered one of the best courses offered by York. I have made friends here and I am currently loving my student life at York, but it definitely gets boring because there are no extracurricular activities for us.

There is no post study placement provided by university but there is centers that can help you with your cv building and guide you how to apply and write cover letters

At the University of Waterloo, there are tons of Research opportunities and excellent placement opportunities for only STEM students; other faculties don't have it as easy or as good as engineers. Placements are not a thing in Canadian Universities if you are not a top 1% student.

I was in the Co-op program at the University of Waterloo, but when I transferred to York, I was in a regular program. In my first year in 2018, I interned in Grameen Foundation India, luckily that was situated in my hometown of Gurugram, Haryana so it was a great experience at home. The salary was paid in INR but was equivalent to what I would've got in Canada. I got paid 1,20,000 per month.

CIBC, RBC, TD, Scotia Bank all of these companies visited. They offered various profiles like marketing coordinator, sales, investment Banking, consulting roles. Median salary is 60,000

No, I have not opted for any internship or coop here. Because we didn't have any option to do so.

The post-study placement rates are high from your. In any industry, you can find at least 100 alumni from York University.

There are a lot of opportunities for people in my program upon graduating as the program also has internships so you can get experience.

I haven’t but i do plan for my third or fourth year.

The placements are pretty smooth because of the brand name. The average salary is around 85000 CAD. There are different companies visiting the campus depending upon the industry such as Bell, Rogers, Deloitte, EY, RBC, Scotiabank, TD bank etc. School has a portal where companies listings come.

Students have to find job through making connects. University don't help for that. Median Salary $70,000.

Overall, it was an interesting experience due to new culture, new friends. On the academic front, I learned a-lot through case studies, projects, group assignments. I feel program length should be more than 12 months as it becomes very hectic for international students to manage all the workload.

Opportunities were quite scarce during graduation and there wasn't much of a support structure right after graduation.

Overall it was a great experience, I learned a lot about my self. The level of teaching and academics was good and it is not very intimidating.
