- What I like about York University is that it has a great faculty and an amazing infrastructure. The university is so big it took me a whole week to navigate. I have seen multiculturalism here. I totally got all the feels of Canada. null
Dislikes:
- But there is one thing I dislike the most and that is no extracurricular activities for students of the school of continuing studies building at least I haven't been part of any till yet. They are just restricted to teaching but then I see so many events happening in other buildings, and honestly, students of this building feel left out. null
I have been dreaming of studying in Canada since class 10 in 2017. But Covid happened so I couldn't leave. When I was in college in India I really loved the subject of Human Resources Management and I decided to study it in canada as well and then decided York University for the same. York University has amazing rankings for faculty and teaching norms. Also, I wanted to go to a University and see how it feels to study in a university. Also, HRM is considered one of the best courses offered by York. I have made friends here and I am currently loving my student life at York, but it definitely gets boring because there are no extracurricular activities for us.
Likes:
- It had the course I wanted to do and that allowed me got the designation in my field. It was also in the city I wanted to stay in and seemed like a good choice based on rankings. null
- Awesome teachers, great study resources and materials, good lectures, fair assessments, great atmosphere, good transportation, good set of peers, constant feedback, easy to cope curriculum, good school life balance. null
Dislikes:
- Dicey on value for money, at least my course. I really can’t say much since I attended it virtually due to Covid-19 so school of continuing studies, York University was pretty much a great place to start my journey in Canada. null
Overall, it was great learning experience with enough time left to pursue other opportunities and also it was good to have a base on their way of doing things before joining the workforce.
