- Great faculty and amazing Infrastructure( Big classrooms and halls). The university is so big it took me a whole week to navigate.
- Technology ( we are taught on such big screens )
- It literally has everything. So many outlets of food, a walk-in clinic (doctor), ATM’s , libraries , a very small lake, greenery (Very beautiful)
Dislikes
- Extra-Curricular activities( I haven’t been presented with any clubs and opportunities in which I could take part in)
- York is very boring, a typical all theory university and no fun and experiences.
- Some professors have given me a hard and bad time unnecessarily.
- I opted for an off-campus accommodation because it's definitely cheaper and affordable than the on-campus. I found my place here at Kijiji. My monthly rent is $550 for a shared room. I have wifi, laundry included in my rent.
- Major challenges were legitimacy. A lot of people in Canada take loads of money from students and leave them stranded before they even arrive. I had my relative here in Canada who went for a check of the accommodation before I made it final.
- There are very few chances of finding accommodation through Facebook marketing but try your luck mainly on Kijiji. There are genuine people on this website. I found my roommate here. My place is just 40 mins away from the York university by bus. Many students Come from Brampton, Mississauga, North York and also many reside in York village.
