What students say about NorQuest College
Likes
- The course curriculum at NorQuest College is engaging, with regular quizzes and midterms that contribute to a dynamic learning experience.
- I had a placement directly from college; it was unpaid, but I made great connections, and it was the best hands-on training.
- Excellent, you can get a job ASAP and not struggle because people are always hiring.
- There are numerous comfortable spaces such as the cafeteria, couches on each floor, the library, the atrium, green areas, and more.
- Its pretty expensive to live in the accommodation, but the quality is the very best.
- The regular tuition fee for Canadian students is $13k, which is fair and easy to pay for. My parents are paying for it, so I dont need any loans. I havent applied for any scholarships yet, but I will start applying.
- Lots of the teachers have PhDs, which is really nice. I love the notes we get because theyre easy and straightforward, making the exams very easy to pass.
- I applied to a couple of colleges in Edmonton, and NorQuest was the first to respond and provide me with an offer letter.

- I chose Norquest College primarily for its celebrated diversity and acclaimed support services. While my initial expectations were modest, the college has pleasantly surprised me. The professors have made a significant positive impression. Although my chosen course aligns with my previous studies without any distinctive features, I remain appreciative of the overall educational experience at NorQuest College. null
- NorQuest College stands out distinctly from the typical narrative surrounding educational institutions in Canada. It places a strong emphasis not only on academic pursuits but also on the holistic well-being of its students. The college hosts various centers and volunteer programs to address a spectrum of needs. null
- For instance, if a student is grappling with emotional challenges, the Centre for Growth and Harmony provides support. Likewise, there's a Career Centre for those seeking guidance on their professional path, a Peer Mentorship program for assistance, and a Student Navigator to aid with academic concerns. Regular networking events further enrich the student experience. Notably, the aspect I appreciate the most is the remarkable diversity within the college community. null
Dislikes:
- While there are no particular aspects of NorQuest College that I find unfavorable, it's worth noting that the college is situated in Edmonton, one of Canada's coldest cities. Navigating to the college during extreme temperatures, reaching as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius, can pose a considerable challenge. null
My experience at Norquest College has been transformative. Initially an introvert, I've gained significant confidence and become more outgoing. While I still identify as an introvert, I can now approach people confidently and without hesitation. The excellent academic environment and the friendly city have contributed to this positive change. Norquest College has undoubtedly enhanced my social skills and overall happiness.

- I chose Norquest because the mental health recovery practitioner course was only offered by them. They also had another exciting course, addictions recovery practitioner, unfortunately, I couldn’t get into it. It is really competitive as the seats are limited. I had heard a lot about Norquest in terms of education, professors and also economically it went well with me. null
- My experience at Norquest College has been really amazing. I joined as Mental Health student in Jan 2020, it's a nice small college, the faculty is nice and warm, supportive as well in various ways. null
- The classroom consisted about 25-30 students and education they provided was helpful and qualitative. I loved being there, as it was easy to navigate the college and reach out the professor in case you needed any help. null
- They had lots events where I would volunteer make some extra money from there. I would say Norquest is not much known out there but its best for the students who wanna complete diploma and get a hands on job. null
Dislikes:
- The thing I dislike about the Norquest college was that when I wanted to do another program in same college, I couldn’t find many options, they were to limited and streamlined into a particular field. null
Thank you would be a small word to show my gratitude towards Norquest college. Taught me a lot, showed me thousands of different ways to progress and grow.

- Flexibilty with courses and mode of learning (hyflex - inperson and online) where i can choose if I want to take 11 am class as I am not a morning person so its all in my hands if I want a 11 am one I can just double click and its all. null
- Flexibility to choose courses, where I can make choices by myself on moodle (much convienent app by norquest) where I also get my assignments and tasks. Also the instructors at Norquest most of them are now my good friends, all of them really are the best mentors I have ever met. null
- Norquest library is way too much better than any normal library where students can see different sections if you want to chill and talk there's gossip section and if you are reading a book and you want everyone to be quiet there's a quiet section as well. Moreover, at this college you can easily take help of international advisor who can provide you everything you need with your studies. null
Dislikes:
- Nothing too much. But there's not a lot of options with food like there's only subway and tim hortons making a limited choice for most of students who cant have the same thing everyday. Other thing is there's limited courses which you can study. Mostly colleges or university here offer a wide variety but Norquest isn't like that its focused on few courses only." .
Everything was good, missing that days already. Some beautiful memories that I will never forget.
I applied to a couples college in Edmonton and Norquest was the first to respond and provide me with an offer letter.
Couldn't get into the RN program because it was way too competitive so I decided to start small and then do a bridge program to become an rn, I found out about this collage through a friend who was already going here before me, this was the only collage I applied too, my marks were good but not up to the competitive average for rn nursing
Program length it's a nice building smaller classrooms. You can get a job very easily. There is a lot of support when you enter the field and many times they provide extra training for you. So your skills can be top notch.
