- I chose Norquest because the mental health recovery practitioner course was only offered by them. They also had another exciting course, addictions recovery practitioner, unfortunately, I couldn’t get into it. It is really competitive as the seats are limited. I had heard a lot about Norquest in terms of education, professors and also economically it went well with me. null
- My experience at Norquest College has been really amazing. I joined as Mental Health student in Jan 2020, it's a nice small college, the faculty is nice and warm, supportive as well in various ways. null
- The classroom consisted about 25-30 students and education they provided was helpful and qualitative. I loved being there, as it was easy to navigate the college and reach out the professor in case you needed any help. null
- They had lots events where I would volunteer make some extra money from there. I would say Norquest is not much known out there but its best for the students who wanna complete diploma and get a hands on job. null
Dislikes:
- The thing I dislike about the Norquest college was that when I wanted to do another program in same college, I couldn’t find many options, they were to limited and streamlined into a particular field. null
Course Curriculum
Yes it has variety of things to learn, the programs focuses on basically how to navigate the mental health community in Canada, major subjects focused concurrent disorders, addictions and the intercultural perspectives. I also had hands on training for about 4 weeks, in addition, I got three major certifications for mental health first aid, suicide prevention and non- violent crisis intervention.
Fees
The total tuition fees back in 2020 was 13,500. I did not had to pay even a dollar extra for books or anything at all.
