Overview

The main reason I chose this college was firstly because of reputation and secondly because of location. This was the best experience I had so far in my study life as I got to meet so many new people.

Campus Life

10

The campus is very lively. There is an event going on every week and there are many gaming activities on campus as well. The sports facility is very great as there is a timetable for each sport and everyday you get to play different kinds of sports.

Overview

Overall, it was a pretty below-average experience at George Brown College, as the degree didn't meet my expectations. I was expecting to get industry-related jobs but had difficulties in finding one because a post-graduate certificate is not valued like a Master's Degree.

Campus Life

5

The Campus life was vibrant, particularly the main campus and not the baby campuses. And the infrastructure was good enough as it was located in Downtown Toronto. There were various clubs and sports teams to join, and the library was decent and the campuses had good WiFi.

Overview

There is no requirement of LOR or SOP for this course, but you do require a resume and there is no interview for this course Well it’s had a good reputation among other colleges and was recognised among companies Overall I do like college experience, helps me connect with new people. Just that the professors are pretty underwhelming. They don’t really teach

Campus Life

It’s very lively, there is always free food somewhere in college, and there is at least 1 to 2 events in a week. The library is easy to use. Overall friendly staff so I like that

My overall experience has been very good yet. I haven’t faced any problems as such due to my college. It has been above my expectations in every field.

Everything is outstanding. You don’t need any external support outside, that is outside of the college.

Amazing. Everyday is a new day. Get new experiences and meet new people. Faculty is good. Infrastructure is well maintained. Transit is convenient. Have various places to hangout with friends like coffee shops, beaches, restaurants. Everything is in walking distance. Overall a very good experience so far.

Overview

George brown is a renowned designated learning institute (DLI). As I was searching for Health Informatics program and GBC was the only college offering a pgdm. The best part about GBC is that most of its programs have CO-OP opportunity, which helps a student get some relevant paid experience in their respective field of study. Being a dental graduate from India, I wanted to pursue my masters degree in Canada but as our degree is not accredited by the Canadian government, I had to choose for a different course. Health Informatics at that time seemed to be the best option as it is one of the rapidly emerging field in the health sector. Especially during the pandemic everyone could realize how important it is to augment information technology with the health sector.

Campus Life

8

Unfortunately as we are stuck in pandemic since 2 years My entire course was online. Despite that, GBC ensured that we did not miss out on these opportunities and would conduct several virtual competitions and fun activities for their students. Their rich library could be accessed 24*7.

Overview

The main factor in choosing GBC was the program included specialization in the field I wish to work in the future. No other college provided that. Another factor was the professors are top-class. Most of them are industry professionals and teach industry techniques. Lastly, the college is in Toronto and has world-class facilities and a campus.

Ques. Which is the best college to study graphic design, Seneca, Centennial, Humber, or George Brown??

● Top Answer By Siddharth Singh on 08 Feb 24

Ans. My friend is a graphic designer. He completed his studies in Graphic Designing from Toronto itself. According to him, Sheridan College in Oakville is the best choice for graphic designing courses, followed by George Brown College. Centennial has a dedicated school for this subject.  Seneca and GBC offer graphic designing lectures on PC, while Centennial uses MAC for learning purposes. MAC is more popular among graphic designers because it offers a smoother experience for many design softwares. Even if such softwares have a PC version, they require less keystrokes/steps to complete a task on MAC.Read more
