The Master of Nursing Practice is a two-year graduate entry master degree that can lead you to be eligible for registration as a nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. The course consists of four semesters plus a summer term coursework program.

In this comprehensive program of study, you will cover a diverse range of simulated practice and fieldwork, interprofessional learning, contemporary blended learning and advanced clinical development.

Throughout the course, you will be encouraged to integrate evidence-based theory and clinical practice. Theory content is comprehensive and includes physical, biological, psychological and social sciences.


The Master of Nursing is a 54-unit program offered by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

The program is intended for nurses whose personal, professional or research interests include contributing to the present and future development of health care services and the nursing profession.

The Master of Nursing has been developed in conjunction with the industry to meet the needs of nurses who work across a broad range of specialisations and health care environments.


This coursework Masters is a graduate entry program for applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with a strong focus on clinical practice and research which leads to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

The program will provide experiential and authentic learning opportunities, supplemented by theoretical components, to ensure graduates are industry-ready upon entry to practice.
