What students say about Edith Cowan University
Likes
- Exams are worth too much of the final grade, but this means fewer assignments throughout the year.
- I received a scholarship during my second semester for passing all of my units with high distinction in Semester 1, which resulted in a 25% reduction in my university fees.
- The campus life is awesome with campus infrastructure, events, clubs, and extracurricular activities on campus, as well as research facilities, libraries, WiFi, and sports facilities, etc.
- I would like to say that when I joined, the fees were high. Therefore, I pay around $13,000 per semester.
- They are all extremely friendly and willing to help. Even though they have a lot of work, they still take the time to read through your work and provide improvements.
- The course I chose is fully hands-on and highly regarded in the Western Australian region.
Dislike
- As an offshore campus student, I pay only 50% of what on-campus students pay. On-campus, it usually costs 15-20 lakhs (INR) to complete 2 years, whereas I spent only 12 lakhs for 2 years

- Every semester there will be new challenges to appear at the same moment it helps to evolve into new version of ourselves. null
- University also helps students by providing part-time/casual jobs in university itself with various roles and it helps students participate in clubs and other activities. null
Dislikes:
- The dislike is fees structure they increase in every semester. The parking problem which is not having any space during class start time, and also the class enrollment process. I think this are the problem which I faced during my university time. null

To define overall experience I would say it would be 8 out of 10. Because it was best experience if your in correct path it will reach you to top.

Tuition fees 16000, unit 5000.
Likes:
- ECU is recognized for best education provider for cyber security overall in Australia, and I research about the program and thought of going forward with it. null
- "There's nothing specific which is unique or special about this place. To an outsider, it would seem the most normal thing ever and yes, it is no doubt. “it's nothing but everything” I won't start mentioning the points that people here, have already talked about ( pros and cons). I guess what I like might be subjective and I don't want any debates about that(Our Campus is way too cute and lovely)." .
Dislikes:
- I don't hate anything about college per se. There are some human behaviors and personality traits I don't like, but these also occur outside of college. As a student, more than anything else, I wished I had more spending money. I was on an extremely tight budget with no money for dating or entertainment. This had not been true for me in high school because I had a part-time job and could use my parents' car. As a college student, I had more freedom, but in some ways I was unable to take advantage of the freedom. null
- As a university student, you may have some professors who are better than others, and some professors may use grading criteria you don't like. Although this is not pleasant, learning to deal with it effectively may help you to prepare for your work life after graduation. We all have to deal with people who have power in organizations and use that power in ways we do not like. null
- University is a wonderful educational experience. It's not always pleasant, but even the unpleasant experiences may teach you important lessons. If you keep that in mind, you may benefit more from university than if you focus on what you hate about it. null
Overview
It was good experience and I got to learn more things from the university.
Fees
Estimated $50,000.
Overview
The course I chose was fully hands-on and highly regarded in the western Australian region. Moreover, I follow the same content and assessment that on-campus students follow, also, all the professors are minimum MS holders and many of them hold Ph.D also, the university has a very good reputation in the western Australian region.
Fees
12,00,000 INR is the program fee.
Overview
I wanted to do my masters degree in Australia as they have high academic standards which I was always impressed by. I did a lot of research and narrowed down my options to UWA and ECU. I applied for both universities and received offer letter from both but I decided to choose ECU as I received 20% off full course fee discount
Fees
Fees can be paid for each semester or more if you wish. Most international students receive a 20% off discount from your postgraduate course. Additionally if you pay before a deadline, you receive 1000$ off from your next semester fee. The total course fee for the 2 years is 59,000$. It includes all additional support provided by university and access to university wifi, library, etc.
Overview
It had the exact course I wanted to do when I wanted to do marketing. My older brother went here and had a good experience. change into Biomed because I had a change in interests, and stayed at the same uni to make things easier, despite getting into a similar course at a different uni. had a Min atar of 70 which I knew I'd get, so I knew I'd get in.
Fees
The cost per unit is around $1200. which adds up to approximately $5000 per semester, and around $35,000 for the whole course. unsure of scholarships for international students. haven't heard of any scholarships in general. The international student rate is quite high. I have a student loan is taken out- HECS debt which I will pay off after I start earning.
Overview
I got one year advanced standing for my diploma and this is the only uni that gave me all the 8 units. To apply there was no fee as some other units charged $100. Comparatively low fees as well. I also offered the program I needed. Eg: Electrical Power rather than just Electrical. Furthermore, my cousin's sister studied in this uni.
Fees
The fee structure is changing every year. I would like to say that when I joined the fees were high therefore, I pay around $13,000 per semester. Nowadays, they offer 20% of scholarships for every student per semester which makes many students join this university. However, I was told that because I joined early I'm not eligible.
Overview
There were two teachers there that would supervise my thesis in the topic of my choosing. I also got the marks to get in (as it is quite competitive to get into Honours, I wasn't too picky), and it was online which meant I didn't have to move houses.
Fees
It was a typical cost for an Australian government-funded university. It was around $7000 per year, but I could defer this payment and won't have to pay it back until I earn more money.
Overview
Best reputation for nursing. A great overall student experience. Classrooms and study rooms everywhere. They're so nice. So many People. Lots of events and functions. Cheaper then most and yeah it's okay.
Fees
Very expensive, government support. Textbooks are 200 each and the uniforms are 70 for one tunic. Lots of items are required and they are ridiculously expensive.
Overview
It was close to home, had the course I wanted to pursue, has a good reputation for student support, has many learning resources available, a good chance of getting a job out of your course, the enrolling process wasn't difficult.
Fees
The current course I am in rolled in doesn't have any fees that is free however with other courses that I've looked at the fees of other courses weren't mentioned and it's very unclear to determine how much you have to pay.
