How many seats are there in AIIMS?
There are more than 1.50 Lakhs total MBBS seats in different colleges across the country. There is a very high competition to get admission into AIIMS colleges. The Medical Council Committee has distributed the total seats at AIIMS colleges for various categories and foreign students.
AIIMS New Delhi has a total seat intake of 132 of which 55 are for OPEN, which includes 7 seats for International students. Under Development AIIMS in India
The Press Information Bureau under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India released a report in 2022 for the establishment of 16 new AIIMS colleges across the country. These new AIIMS have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).
