- UNT is student based university where you get more than what you ever think you need. I hadn't expected that you ask and university already has that.
- I would definitely recommend Indians to come learn here in the environment you feel inclusive at. You will for sure learn all aspects of life from living alone independently to knowing diverse students and kind staff.
- Encouraging work environment and you can get an on campus job via handshake. You should be goal oriented and adaptable to changes. YES it is COMPETITIVE but is isn't impossible. It is all worth it.
Dislikes
- I dislike how Indian students around the campus move without smiling at anyone, as the culture here is to be friendly and give smile at strangers.
- Too many Indian students, especially from Telangana and AP.
- Fees is huge, but comparatively less to surrounding universities.
Scholarship
- I had applied to eagle scholarship as in every student applies for that but I haven't heard anyone get that. After all research from so many sources in conclusion - No scholarships for Masters Students at UNT. No one has received since past 3 years as per previous students and professors knowledge.
- Unlike master's students, undergraduate (bachelor's degree) students at the University of North Texas (UNT) have access to scholarship opportunities. These scholarships can help reduce the cost of tuition and may be awarded based on various factors, such as academic performance, extracurricular involvement, financial need, or specific fields of study.
- If you work on campus at Library or Teaching/research assistant position you get wavier, and you pay 40% less tuition.

- The university is huge and one needs to take either bus or cycle to move from one corner to another. The space offered to students for extracurricular activities is notable.
- The university hosts multiple organizations every year to be a part of. The events are all free for the students and students get a chance to socialize at a global level.
Dislikes
- The university is open to anyone and everyone. Hence, it doesn't have a secured access only for the students and employers of the university. Security might be one thing to consider while being on campus.
- Thefts of e-vehicles and valuables around campus is a regular concern. One should take care of their belongings while on-campus.
- Accommodation around the university is a major issue. The rent is higher than average, and students living off-campus have to consider living far from university.
Scholarship
- The scholarships can be accessed through the Eagle Scholarship Portal of the University of North Texas. Most of the scholarships are applied after one year of study at the university. The university provides scholarships of up to $1,000 (500$ for fall, 500$ for spring). Students can also apply for an in-state tuition fee waiver after getting a scholarship.
- I received a Texas Public Education Grant of $500 for the fall 2024 semester.

- The University of North Texas (UNT) is a place that truly resonates with me, and as a computer science major, I have discovered numerous aspects of the university that I deeply appreciate. First and foremost, the knowledgeable and enthusiastic faculty members have left an indelible impact on my educational journey. Their passion for teaching and their expertise in their respective fields create an engaging and inspiring learning environment. Their guidance has not only helped me grasp complex concepts but has also motivated me to delve deeper into the world of computer science.
- UNT's well-stocked libraries and computer labs have proven to be invaluable resources for me. The libraries offer a vast array of research materials and study spaces, allowing me to immerse myself in my studies and explore various facets of computer science. The computer labs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, providing an optimal environment for practical applications and coding experiments. However, what truly captivates me is the game development lab. It offers a unique opportunity for computer science students like me to delve into the world of game design, fostering creativity and technical skills.
- The university's Olympic-grade gym, complete with full-time coaches, has been a delightful surprise. Being able to access such top-notch facilities and receive expert guidance free of cost is a remarkable benefit. Furthermore, the climbing wall caters to my passion for adventure and offers an exhilarating way to stay physically active.

- While there are many aspects of the University of North Texas (UNT) that I greatly appreciate, it is important to acknowledge that no institution is without its flaws. Here are a few points that I personally find less favorable about UNT.
- One area of concern is the parking situation on campus. Finding a parking spot can be quite challenging, especially during peak hours. This can lead to frustration and wasted time as students, faculty, and staff search for available parking spaces. Additionally, the cost of parking permits and fines for violations can be a burden on students' finances.
- Another aspect that some students may find disappointing is the limited availability of certain courses or class sections. Due to high demand and limited resources, it can be challenging to enroll in specific classes, causing delays in degree progression and hindering students' ability to pursue their desired academic path.
Overview
The overall experience at the University of North Texas (UNT) is a vibrant mix of knowledgeable faculty, well-stocked libraries, and state-of-the-art facilities like the game development lab and Olympic-grade gym, with some challenges such as parking and limited course availability.
Scholarship
I got a Library Student Assistant position which comes with a 40% tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of $1200. Just had to apply for the post, submit my resume and a face to face interview.
Overview
Because it is the good university with good degree structure and comparatively less fees.
