- Huge campus and great work opportunities. Faculty is also nice and approachable so that's a good part. null
Dislikes:
- High cost of living, since the campus is near Washington DC. Diversity is less, more than 60% of students are Indian so that is problematic. null

- Everything over here is amazing, from the food to the people, but the best thing is the academics. I really like how professors are so friendly and easy to approach. null
Dislikes:
- I don't dislike anything in particular about my college, but the one thing that could use some improvement is the construction that takes place around campus. There's always some kind of construction going on around campus which can get annoying at times. null
Overview
My college experience has been amazing so far! I have made a ton of friends, and I have had a lot of fun in the 5 months that I have been here. I have also learned a lot of stuff and successfully applied them in various fields.

- 1) Flexibility with courses- The course structure is designed in a way that allows you to also take courses from other schools like the CS School/Business School, Engineering School and more without impacting your fee structure 2) Faculty support - You get all the support you need to plan your curriculum the way that fits best with your schedule. The professors are amazing and are always available to help and mentor 3) Career Fair Programs- UMCP offers a lot of career fair opportunities and also provides students with scholarships to attend conferences like Grace Hopper 4) Assistantship opportunities- You will be given multiple chances throughout your program for paid assistantships that offer a stipend which covers your fees and living expenses. With the iSchool you are eligible to get 100% tuition remission 5) Low tuition fee, Minimal living expense, Surrounded around prime locations like Washington DC, Virginia, New York, New Jersey allowing for extended possibility to re-locate if needed for better job opportunities. null
Dislikes:
- The courses can be a little more technical and cover more advanced concepts like Cloud Computing and System Design, Pipeline Management. Adding these topics in their courses will help the students to actually gain skills that are more relevant to their actual work once if their domain is Data oriented. However, with the MIM Program at iSchool where I studied, I had the flexibility to easily learn these concepts from other schools like the prestine Iribe School for CS. null
Overview

Scholarship
Yes. I received an Graduate Assistantship in my first year of Master's which came with a 100% tuition remission. My fees per semester were $14k, but due to this scholarship I only had to pay mandatory international student fees of $800.

- The Robotics program at UMD is one of the top in the US. The fees was also major factor in the decision to study at UMD. The faculty is very good as well as the choice of courses is very appropriate and in accordance with the industry standards. null
- The University has a very reasonable tuition fee for MEngg programs considering it is also know as a “public ivy” because of its rank and reputation. The campus resources are abundant and free to use, ensuring a very active and good work life balance. The Engineering departments in particular have some of the most advanced labs and resources that might not be the case with some of the other universities in the area. null
Dislikes:
- The diversity in some of the programs is quite less. There are many South Asian students in Engineering programs so does not feel like an international program. The nearby areas like Baltimore are notorious for a high crime rate so a precautions are needed if you are going there. null
Overview
My overall experience for UMD has been very pleasant, I am able to find some balance in the work-life balance and I am positive that this degree from UMD would be life-changing for me. The academics are very rigorous but there are plenty of resources to support your endeavor.

- The practical way of teaching all courses. All faculties are highly educated and knowledgeable. Also, the assignments are very practical and very helpful. This university is one of the top institutes in USA. Apart from studies also, we get a lot to do. Events keep happening throughout the year. null
Dislikes:
- We get Too many assignments but they might be common in all universities. Some faculties have a very strict grading system. So, it is not very easy to score good. Some courses are competitive to go get into and charge high fees. Mine is not like that .
