- The research is perfect here

- The college itself is separated and it's huge [so for a few days navigations becomes hard]
- It's very cold, unless you are particularly equipped with good jackets,
- TA is not given in the first semester unlike other colleges [you need to earn it by getting 4 for the first 2 semesters]
Scholarship
- I got a TA assistantship for 2 semesters but I had to reject it since I got an offer to work outside in a company.
- I received a fee exemption to pay just the tuition differential of around $2,357 and get $2,000 in payment as a stipend.
- My friends got a GA and it was tuition exempt plus $2,800 per semester.
- Almost 60 per cent of the students would get a GA or TA. But that is all changed right now, since after the Trump administration, the grants to the college has reduced and they have cut down most of the GA programmes, so I would say around 20 per cent now would get a GA or TA. it is not really as good as before.
Likes
- Plenty of opportunities for funding through assistantships(GA,RA,TA). Plenty of chances in minimum wage part time opportunities.
- Top class infrastructure with many facilities and the urban setting is highly beneficial.
- Good range of courses and professors(must be chosen properly).
Dislikes
- The campus is very decentralized and architecture is not really fancy as some college (both of the factors doesn't effect functionality/flexibility).
- Moderately high fee when landed in internship.
- Not very great efforts/opportunities for placements.
Scholarship
- There are many scholarships that an individual can apply for. Most of them are external and some are funded by organisations and recognising communities. The university sends a weekly mail showing the opportunities for scholarships. But if you get a fee waiver, you won't be eligible for most of the scholarships. Rather than scholarship, the fee is mostly covered through assistantships.
- The award amounts range anywhere from 500 USD to 20,000 USD, depending on the scholarship. There will be some emergency helping funds. You should keep an eye out and apply, all of them are mostly difficult to acquire since they are not initiated by the university.

- Great Campus and Gym. The recreation facility is really nice I spend a lot of time playing badminton .
- The commute is really easy the way the college is built the bus is literally at every corner.
- The infrastructure is really modern and futuristic it would be like you are in a movie.
Dislikes
- Not something about the university but about Chicago its just too cold.
- The career fairs are too crowded.
- The university merchandise is too expensive.
Likes
- The subjects offered such as cybersecurity, global logistics, revenue management in my course were very versatile. My class strength was diverse in terms of age group, experience and home country. UIC offered jobs with one of the best stipend for GA and TA ($23.6) which is one of the best in public universities.
- I had an experience in supply chain and this course's curriculum was a perfect blend of supply chain and operations management. I chose this course and UIC because its a public university and has less fees as compared to other universities I got admit to.
Dislikes
- My first semester(spring 2021) was 100% online due to covid. But, when there was a choice between the online and offline, most of the US students chose online classes. And due to the majority choice, professors taught a few classes online.
Overview
The experience at UIC was great. The course structure and prof and especially part time job opportunities are good. Chicago is a place where commute is easier in the city and UIC is also close to downtown. Facilities like night ride(free rides for UIC students post 11pm, 24*7 library during exam times, Early morning gym timings) are very useful for international students.

I applied through UIC global and I got a scholarship of $1000.
Overview
I chose this program because it is one of the most highly ranked programs in the field of health economics and outcomes research. The faculty members are widely recognized both nationally and internationally. Also, previous students from my undergrad college had attended this program and shared their positive experiences and highly recommended joining it.

I received a TAship in my first year. The department guarantees funding in the form of TA for two years and students have the opportunity to find RAships after starting the program.
Overview
My fascination with science propelled me to choose Biotechnology for my under graduation. I decided to further study this course in detail by majoring in the medicinal side of biotechnology. I then started hunting for MS in Medical Biotechnology which was offered only by a few universities in the United States and the University of Illinois at Chicago was one among them.
