Required Exams for Admission

TOEFL (92)
IELTS (7)
GRE (291)

The experience at UIC was great. The course structure and prof and especially part time job opportunities are good. Chicago is a place where commute is easier in the city and UIC is also close to downtown. Facilities like night ride(free rides for UIC students post 11pm, 24*7 library during exam times, Early morning gym timings) are very useful for international students.

Course Curriculum

9

The course curriculum is updated as per the industry standards. The have relevant case studies in all the subjects(also covid effects on supply chain). In the last semester, we had a 4 credit course for research and use cases.

Faculty

10

1:50 is the faculty and student ratio, it depends on the course and credit. My course had professors from India (IITians). You can write emails to professors and they reply to relevant questions. Prof. Selva is an incredible professors, he taught supply chain management and operations management.

Campus Life

9

UIC has different clubs(I was not a part of any). Most of the bachelor's course students join these clubs. They organize events on Indian festivals as well. UIC organizes dinner during exam times, special events for international students, job and career fairs. The classes are well equipped with echo 360, projector screens etc, library with macbooks , a very big gym etc.

Placement

8

College do not provide placement facilities, they conduct job fairs online. MS in MSSCOM- max salary $100k.

I was staying close to UIC in a 3bhk, 2nd floor. Total rent was $1500. I paid $500 /month for a separate room, no attached washroom. it includes only water. AC/heater bill are separate(Max of $100/ person during winters)

Exams

My scores: GRE 143 Verbal ,148 Quant ,3.0 Writing; IELTS 7.0- listening- 7.5, reading- 6.5, writing- 6.5, speaking- 7.5, TOEFL 92/120- reading- 23, listening- 22, speaking- 26, writing- 21. Yes , 1 had to submit a SOP and 2 LOR. SOP should be like a story. Your course should be related to your job experiences, previous education and your aim in life. At last, you need to write why you want to do this course and why you are a bestfit for the university. I arranged for 2 LOR, one from my B.tech professor and one from my employer.

Fees

Total credits- 38 credits- Course was for 2 yrs, I completed in 1.5 yrs. Total fees- $53,000.

Scholarship

I applied through UIC global and I got a scholarship of $1000.
