There are various options available to find jobs: Handshake, Linkedin and Indeed. The college organises career fairs where many companies come for campus recruitment.
• Many students prefer doing internships at various companies and later secure a full-time job there. Faculties also help by providing references; it also depends on the students PR skills. Many of my batchmates secured roles in accounting, finance, IT, and healthcare industries.

• I stayed on-campus throughout my course and contacted the university’s ResLife department directly using the contact information provided by the university.

• Finding accommodation was straightforward since it was managed by the university. No major challenges were faced.

• What I'm seeing is currently market is in recission many of the employers are terminating their employees due to their cost cutting. Mostly 10% of the students can able to acquire full time opportunities, remaining are going for consultancies for profile marketing. What I'm seeing is hardly after trying for 1 year, students can able to get the jobs. Most of the employers are also looking for the person with atleast 8+ years of experience. What I say is come for master's program with atleast 1 or 2 years of experience, this work experience can help them to secure the job faster.

  Students can able to find jobs using job portals like linkedin, indeed, dice or handshake. Some times there are some community events happen in university, try to attend them so there is a chance that you can get a referral for position.
  Most of the top companies like oracle, google, facebook, Nvidia, etc will hire graduates but the competition is very high.

• I found my accommodation from university groups. Try to join the university or community groups in whatsapp, telegram or facebook. These platforms might help them finding the accommodations. If this platforms doesn't helps you, then you can also search for agents online like suleka is the one. I lived in individual house and monthly rent is about 2000$ with a group of 6 people. My share is 350$ + expenses. The minimum monthly rent is about 1100+$ for an apartment and it goes high depending on the facilities you choose. The challanges that I faced while finding my accommodation was every agent asked to sign for rental agreement which is mandatory in US. Initially I didn't find enough or proper persons to share the accommodation. Later I found some one who already leased and looking for person to share. So I felt like better deal and moved for it. Universities also provide shared accommodation in campus. You can also go for it which could range 400$ or above. My campus is about 7 miles away. I used to go by public transport which could take 30 mins to reach. If you have own vehicle, then you can reach with in 10 mins. Public transport sometimes take more time depending on the availability.

• Many students are securing jobs in major companies. We should upskill while we are on the campus. A lot of certification opportunities are available for students on the campus. We also need good skills to survive in the job market. Don't listen to the people who say the job market is dull. Start apply for the jobs. Students who have skills are getting jobs and lazy students who don't study will say the job market is weak.

The job opportunities will be dependent on individuals. The campus will provide opportunities to all the students equally, but each individual should work on things.

I chose this university to get an opportunity to learn from experienced and renowned professors like Ausif Mahmood. Overall, it’s been a challenging yet rewarding journey, and I’m grateful for the support of professors, friends, and family along the way. It marks a significant milestone in my career journey.

Alumni networking is a strong thing for any student seeking employment. University provides you with enough vacancy/opening notifications for you to be able to apply and work as an intern during your study. Professors individually reach out to you with their recommendations if they are impressed with your academics.

Among all other university applied, this university offered me scholarship and plus the course in this university had subjects that i was interested in (like satellite design).

Being so close to New York City there are many great job opportunities as well as in the bigger and more important cities of Connecticut. Again, for international students, it is not that easy and it is becoming very discouraging.

Swimming in college and studying my dream carriers of industrial and graphic design came together perfectly here with incredible financial aid. Our campus is only a 1.5 hr train ride to New York City which is a huge plus.
