Course Curriculum

5

  • The level of course curriculum is very easy for everyone. It contains the actual, real-time, hands-on experience of the work we are going to do in the job. That helps everyone in upskilling on the latest technologies.

Admission Experience

  • I just applied to one university, the University of Bridgeport, and successfully I got admitted into it. After the admission letter, I received my I-20 to proceed and attended the visa interview. I just answered everything genuinely with clear communication with the interviewer. My suggestion to new students is that they don't follow the long-framed answers for the casual questions. Be natural with the interviewer and answer everything genuinely for the questions asked and get the visa approved. Be yourself in front of the interviewer.
  • I have done research on all the universities in the USA by speaking with current students and after careful reviews and feedback on actual things that are going on, I made an analysis and shortlisted one university and I applied with my GRE and Duolingo scores. As I have excellent scores in the GRE and Duolingo, I got admission to this university. My IT work experience also added an advantage.
  • I applied for the FALL 2023 intake for the University of Bridgeport, and after applying, it took 4-5 days for the admission letter and one week for the I-20. Usually, if you are planning for any intake, start the application process before 3 months. The application portal is user-friendly to everyone and they don't even charge us to apply. We need to pay only after getting the admission.

Class Schedule

5

  • I am the graduate teaching assistant for cloud computing at the University of Bridgeport. The classes are one class a week per subject. That class has 3 hours of lecture and lab work. For computer science, 90% of the students are from india

Faculty

5

  • Faculty are very friendly with students; they help in resolving the student doubts all the time and also they will give lectures by relating to real-time world-class experience on the campus. They have excellent skills in the latest emerging technologies and they are very knowledgeable. All the faculty are ready to help students if any opportunity comes across. My most favourite professor is AJAY SHRESTHA. He is the PhD faculty for the CLOUD COMPUTING course at the University of Bridgeport. I admire him the most because he is very knowledgeable and the lectures of him are very advanced. Many students after his class come to me and appreciate him for having most advanced lecture and his way for teaching is very attractive; we can have real-time hands-on experience in the lab work

Campus Life

5

  • We had a lot of campus events that happened daily, at least one event. There is corq app where we can find all the event details that are happening daily. It includes all the details, including location and timings. In campus there are several clubs that conduct many events. Out of all the clubs, my favourite is the SPB (Student Programming Board). They conduct exciting events in the campus

Part Time Jobs

  • A lot of on-campus opportunities are available for students and I am also working as a teaching assistant for the cloud computing course at the University of Bridgeport. We are allowed to work for 15 hours per week. Also, there are a lot of on-campus opportunities in various departments like the library, IT help desks, and also in student clubs and the audio/video department and international students centre.
  • Usually many students prefer working on campus jobs; students can earn up to $15/hour for the students working on campus. It is very helpful for students not only in perspective of money but also skills. We had opportunities to meet new friends internationally and discussions with them help us to know their culture and how they are thinking.

Placement

5

  • Many students are securing jobs in major companies. We should upskill while we are on the campus. A lot of certification opportunities are available for students on the campus. We also need good skills to survive in the job market. Don't listen to the people who say the job market is dull. Start apply for the jobs. Students who have skills are getting jobs and lazy students who don't study will say the job market is weak.

Accommodation

Off Campus
5

  • I chose off-campus accommodation just beside the University of Bridgeport and monthly rent was $400-$450 that includes all facilities like gas, electricity, wifi, water bills, etc. Whoever comes to the University of Bridgeport, you can ping me at +91 8801776372 on WhatsApp if you are looking for accommodations near the university. I will help you out with the best and most affordable accommodations, as I have contacts of my friends who are staying there.

Exams

  • As of my knowledge, I had written the GRE and Duolingo exams and got excellent scores. They also accept other exam scores as well. To start applying, we need a statement of purpose, an LOR from our college, and a CV These documents are very important to start the application process.
  • The interview is much easier for everyone if you are natural and genuine. Don't listen to the rumours regarding rejections and all. My suggestion is to stop panicking and be natural and genuinely answer every question in the visa interview. When I went to the interview, they asked me about university, my previous work experience and job responsibilities, why I want to pursue a master's abroad and a few documents. I genuinely answered where I worked and my job responsibilities, what I had in my previous job and also showed all the required documents. Don't take any fake documents or anything that is not right. Be genuine in the interview and we need to respect the country

Fees

  • The total tuition fee for the master's in computer science is estimated to be around 35-40 lakhs for the entire course, and the cost of living, like room rent and groceries, can be estimated between $600 and $1000 based on your lifestyle.
  • You can also utilize campus pantry for free groceries Every month we get free groceries in the college pantry
  • For travelling we can utilize free busses to all the students

Scholarship

  • Yes, the scholarships will be granted to merit students between $2000 - $5000 and also we have a UB portal where we can find the scholarship opportunities around us. That portal takes all our inputs and based on the inputs it gives customised scholarships where we can apply and get grants. A lot of students get grants available in the campus. My suggestion is to keep your bachelor grades good and apply to the university to get better scholarships
