The University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder) offers several scholarships to international students to help make education more affordable. Scholarships are awarded based on both merit and financial need. Here’s an overview of the scholarships and financial aid options available for international students at CU Boulder, along with their eligibility requirements and application processes.

Types of Scholarships at CU Boulder

CU Boulder offers two main merit-based scholarships for undergraduate international students:

However, there are various private loan options available for international students, particularly for those from India, to help cover the costs of studying abroad. Some loan options available to Indian students include:

I chose UCB because it is one of the top-ranked colleges in the US for Data Science and the campus is really beautiful. Apart from this, I had friends here who helped me make this decision by telling me about their experience at UCB. They also made it easier for me to find accommodation and a part-time job. The commute was easy as well as the college ID serves as a transit pass and students can travel anywhere in the city using it. Also free Bicycle pass.

Scholarship

Got a 30% scholarship from the University of Colorado Boulder itself, based on my experience, and co-curricular activites.

The MS program at CU Boulder, and the business school was really popular. I read the reviews mentioned by the current students and alumni, and was really impressed. Along with that, the tuition cost was reasonable, and Boulder (Colorado) is a beautiful and calm place to live in. My experience was amazing! The entire city is great. For a person who came to a different country for the first time, it didn't feel like that. Everyone is so accommodating at the university. Be it the staff, faculty or students, they're always eager to help. And, it's not only study that I've seen everyone excel in, but the extra activities are great too.

Scholarship

I got a scholarship from my own department: $3000. Other than that I did not get anything.

Overall, I loved it. Boulder is a nice little town located in the middle of the mountains. the views are stunning everywhere you go. The life is slow but peaceful. It is mostly a white dominated communicated but the people are nice. Academically there a lot of opportunities for you and various different dreams available. The job market in Denver is also thriving.

Scholarship

Yes, I did receive some scholarship. I received the President's Award, the highest CU scholarship, for my high school GPA, extracurricular activities, and my standardized test scores.

I received in-state tuition, it had a great program for my chosen major. I was then able to receive help and expand my major into a double major with a minor, and I have always loved the CU Campus and the activities as well as Greek organizations that it offers.
