The MS program at CU Boulder, and the business school was really popular. I read the reviews mentioned by the current students and alumni, and was really impressed. Along with that, the tuition cost was reasonable, and Boulder (Colorado) is a beautiful and calm place to live in. My experience was amazing! The entire city is great. For a person who came to a different country for the first time, it didn't feel like that. Everyone is so accommodating at the university. Be it the staff, faculty or students, they're always eager to help. And, it's not only study that I've seen everyone excel in, but the extra activities are great too.
Course Curriculum
All the courses were really relevant. It was a STEM business course, so both the technical and business aspect were maintained really well throughout the program. We were given the experience to work directly with companies on two capstone projects.
Faculty
The faculty was amazing, and really approachable. They were extremely understanding and helpful. It never happened when I approached them with a question and got turned away. They had both online and offline office hours for us. Along with that, if someone was from a non-technical background and was having difficulties in understanding technical concepts, they received some extra care and attention. They actually made it really fun and easy, even while covering the difficult topics. My Python professor, Micah, left a huge impact on me and the whole class. He made learning the entire Python language so easy, even the difficult topics.
Campus Life
There are multiple facilities on the campus. Along with multiple libraries, cafes, study rooms, presentation rooms, and study cubicles, they have a University Center where all the students could refresh themselves at the arcade or bowling, play games. There is also a center where we have a great gym, ice-skating area, swimming pool, rock climbing area among others. As for wifi, there's 24*7 wifi in the entire campus. There are multiple sports grounds too. We also have a huge football stadium where everyone comes around to see a match.
Placement
University of Colorado Boulder is actually known for it's astronomy center, and amazing research facilities. Many students opt for the post-grad research options at the university. As for placements, they hold career fairs where companies drop by every once in a while. Dell, Cisco, Pepsico, Plante Moran, Dish, Udemy and other local companies visit quite a lot. In the MS program, many students opt for the post-grad option, but students who got placed in the mentioned companies have a median salary of about $70000, depending on their experience.
Accommodation
Boulder is a little towards the lower range of rent in the US. The rent would depend solely on the area, but it's reasonable. Many students share a room in an apartment to minimize costs. All in all, every apartments or houses have wifi (or you could register for a connection), trash picking facilities. Water usage is free of charge. On average, the rent for a single room would be around $800/month. But it would depend on the area.
