Since I was from a non power electronics background, The courses offered in this University helped me realize where my career interests lay. The environment, culture and atmosphere in the Campus is vivid and joyful.

The Faculty to student ratio 1:10. The staff are quiet approachable and helpful that students can easily rely on them for academic and non academic issues. Prof Dragan Makismovic has inspired me a lot in this field due to his inspirational teaching and his contribution is highly commendable in the field of Power Electronics.

Campus Life

The campus is quite lively as there are more than 50 clubs in the University. Every week, there is one event or the other. There are roughly 10 libraries in the University and The University WiFi has it's connectivity throughout the campus.

Placement

The PhD program in the field of Power Electronics gives the students the prestigious opportunity to work under Prof Dragan Maksimovic and Prof Robert Erickson. Last Year, the internship placement record was 100% which makes CU, one of the best University in the world. The average package of my seniors is 95k USD.

Exams

At my time, GRE was waived and TOEFL scores were accepted but It was waived as well. My TOEFL score was 102/120. In SOP, I mentioned my achievements, accolades and the reason for joining this university. Mentioning about the university in depth boosts the SOP. For LORs, mention the projects and subjects taken under the recommender. If it's a professional LOR, i.e. from an internship. Make sure to mention all the skills and projects you worked in the particular Internship.
