- Yes, I received a scholarship. It is called UGS which is 20,000
- It is given based on application, merit, profile, etc.
- UGS (university graduate scholarship): 20,000
- GA (graduate assistantship): 25000
- yes most of my batchmates got 20000 as UGS
- I think 80% receive the UGS, and GA maybe 50%. Although it varies by year.
- For the GA you have to apply for various open positions available on the campus and then get selected.
Likes
- The Campus is very big and the infrastructure is really amazing.
- The professors are very experienced and friendly with the students.
- The campus has police officers almost for every mile and every student feels very secured.
Dislikes
- Since, the campus is very long it takes a lot of time to walk from one building to another.
- The cold weather and snow makes us vulnerable to walk on campus.
- The crimes and gun shooting is a concern which takes place at least once or twice in a month.
Scholarship
- Yes, I received a scholarship of around 6240 USD from University of Cincinnati. The scholarships are mostly given based on the marks or grades of Bachelor's degree.
- The person's with 3-4 years of experience are selected for ta and ga positions. I personally received a scholarship of 6240 USD. Some of my mates received the same amount of scholarship as me while some didn't even receive a scholarship this year.

- Good international atmosphere (a lot of Indian students)
- Comfortable crowd (People are really nice)
- Co-op program is unique and really good if you come here for undergrad
Dislikes
- Ohio weather can be difficult to adjust to for some people. ( Winters are really really cold )
- Housing - limited options around the campus and the ones that exist are quite expensive
- Safety - not the most dangerous area around campus but also not the safest
Scholarship
- Yes, it is called GIA which is given to most international students. No need to apply separately. You are considered when you make college application.
- Fees is around $11k per semester but most students get GIA scholarship reducing it to $3k per semester. There are other opportunities like TA, RA, GA which cover full tuition and provide a bi-weekly stipend. There are also on-campus jobs if you cannot get a funded position.

- There are a lot of student organization clubs/ groups and so some or the other event is happening on campus every now and then. For eg. The Indian Student Association (ISA) hosts a lot of Indian festival events which don't make you feel as if you’re missing out.
- The campus is extremely beautiful and lively. It’s not too big nor too small and hence its easy to navigate and commute from one class to another.
- I love the faculty here (for the most part). If you take a professor that has a good rating before enrolling into classes it is very beneficial. They are super helpful and adjusting with regards to syllabus, exams, and leaves. They are also super helpful if you struggle with something in class.
Dislikes
- The weather at Cincinnati is very unpredictable. It can literally be sunny one day and rain heavily on the other and so you always have to check the weather before stepping out.
- Apart from the things that happen around campus, there isn’t a lot to do in Cincinnati. It has some very good restaurants and few other things that might interest you but they surely get over visited and eventually it doesn’t seem like there’s much to do.
- Since Cincinnati is an old city, most of the off-campus housing that is affordable is very old houses and the newer ones are comparatively at the higher end.

- International Outreach Scholarship $7500 per semester for 8 semesters.
- Global Scholarships: $2500 per semester for 2 semesters.
- All these scholarships are based on the funding available for the university. Also, you don't have to apply for these scholarships, as the university automatically considers you for them.
- No financial aid is given to any internationals I know. Most of the internationals that are here have the scholarship capped at 7500 for a semester in my batch but again, the award defers based on the funding for the university.

- Co-op program: As mentioned earlier students get to do internship during the course which is of 5 years.

- For a CS major I feel the workload is heavy. Maybe I'm bad at managing my schedule but that's how it is.
- You have so many assignments and exams.

- The University of Cincinnati’s co-op program helps students get work experience with top companies while studying.
- The UC offers various extracurricular activities like a lot of student clubs, organisations and fun events.

- The weather conditions, mainly the harsh winter.
- While the co-op program is a great opportunity, the intense competition for placements can be really stressful for students.
- Even with scholarships, the overall cost of tuition and fees still feels pretty steep for many students.

- Coming to the infra and the facilities that the university provides are vast.
- The accommodations near the university are very good and there are many places to be in, the dorms that the university provides also have reasonable rates.

I chose UC by considering the best education, IT hub, placements, and mainly the scholarship, that the university gives. My overall experience is excellent.
