Kamdhenu University is a State University established in 2009 which offers a diploma course in Animal Husbandry. The Diploma course is offered full-time for a duration of 3 years. 

The minimum eligibility to apply for Kamdhenu University Diploma course is a pass in 10th Standard. Admissions are done on the basis of candidates’ scores in their qualifying examination.

Kamdhenu University Diploma Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the Diploma in Animal Husbandry course shall fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Must have passed the 10th (secondary school certificate) examination of Gujarat state or other equivalent examination along with English as a compulsory subject.
• For General Candidates: Minimum 45% aggregate marks in SSC
• For SC and Socially and Educationally Backward Communities (SEBC Candidates: Minimum 40% aggregate marks in SSC
• For ST Candidates: Minimum 35% aggregate marks in SSC.

Kamdhenu University Diploma Course Details

Kamdhenu University offers a full-time educational program of Diploma in Animal Husbandry. During the course work of Diploma course, the students are enriched with the basic knowledge of 18 different subjects of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry that are tabulated below:

Course Duration

The duration of the Diploma course is three years divided into 6 equal semesters.

Prescribed Coursework

• The coursework of Diploma program has a six months long farm practice training which includes working on different cattle, buffalo, and goat farms, veterinary dispensaries with 15 days’ educational tour within the state.
• The training provides good practice and also boosts the confidence level of the students in the areas of animal nutrition, management of animals and fodder farm, vaccination, artificial insemination, and first aid techniques in veterinary practice.
• After successful completion of the course work and farm practice training, the students have conferred the Diploma in Animal Husbandry. 
• The students excelling in the course work and training program are rewarded with different awards and certificates.

Kamdhenu University bridges the industry and Institutes to narrow the gap in interest of student's training and placement.
