AAU also offers Diploma programmes in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, and Clinical Nutrition at INR 6,060 total fees. All UG and PG fees are government-regulated and uniform across quota categories.

AAU Admission Process

AAU does not have a management quota. All seats are filled through centralised government counselling processes based on merit in national or state-level entrance exams.

B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture, and B.Tech Programmes

The state quota (85% of seats) is filled through GUJCET-based ACPC counselling. The All India Quota (15% of seats) is filled through CUET-UG or ICAR AIEEA via ICAR centralised counselling.

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with PCB (for B.Sc Agriculture and Horticulture) or PCM (for B.Tech) with minimum 50% aggregate; 40% for reserved categories
  • Selection stages: GUJCET or CUET-UG registration and exam, ACPC counselling registration, option form filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, and reporting
  • Gujarat state reservation applies to the 85% state quota: SC 7%, ST 15%, SEBC 27%, EWS 10%, and 5% horizontal reservation for PwBD candidates

BVSc and AH

Admission is through NEET-UG scores via Gujarat state veterinary counselling for state quota and VCI-designated counselling for All India Quota. Eligibility requires 10+2 with PCB (min 50%) and minimum age of 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year. NEET-UG 2026 was held June 21, 2026, and results were declared July 16, 2026. State quota BVSc counselling is expected in August to September 2026.

PG Programmes (M.Sc, M.Tech, MVSc, MBA, MFSc)

All PG admissions are through ICAR AIEEA PG scores via centralised ICAR counselling. Eligibility is a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST). ICAR JRF holders may be exempted from ICAR AIEEA PG under current ICAR norms.

Ph.D. Programmes

Ph.D. admission at AAU is through ICAR SRF, ICAR JRF, or ICAR AIEEA PhD examination. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field with minimum 55% aggregate. A research proposal interview may be required by the individual college or department after initial shortlisting.

AAU Placements

AAU Anand placements are oriented towards agri-business, government agricultural services, food and dairy industry, and research organisations rather than conventional campus placements seen at engineering colleges. In the 2024 placement season, AAU reported a highest package of INR 12 LPA with an average package of INR 7 LPA and a 60% placement rate among participating students.
