AAU, Anand MBA Admission Process

• The basic admission process for MBA Agribusiness Management includes registration of the candidates in the GSAUCA portal, appearing for entrance examination conducted by the GSAUCA and a round of counselling.
• Candidates must qualify the written test conducted by the Gujarat State Agricultural Universities Common Admission (GSAUCA) in order to be eligible for MBA program.
• Selection of the candidates is based on the merit list prepared by the college which is prepared by giving 50% weightage each to the marks of the last degree and common entrance test examination.

• Candidates shortlisted must attend and qualify the group discussion and personal interview round conducted by the university.

AAU, Anand MBA Entrance Test

• The entrance test comprises 100 MCQs for 100 Marks based on Basics of agriculture and Allied Sciences including Agriculture, Dairy Science, Food Processing Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Forestry, Agricultural Information Technology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Fisheries and others.
• The test is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes and no negative marking scheme is followed.

AAU, Anand MBA Program Details - Curriculum, Syllabus

The 2-year MBA Agribusiness Management course is divided into 4 semesters. The details of the courses credits and curriculum are determined by the academic council in consultation with faculty and the Board of Studies.

• The total intake capacity to MBA ABM is 34.
• The program consists of 28 core courses, 3 basic supporting courses, 4 non-credit compulsory courses and 23 elective courses.
• Additionally, 1 course for the master seminar and 1 semester for project work are also mandatory.

• The first and second semester consist of mainly core courses, 3rd semester consists of various elective courses and the 4th semester consists of project work.
• CGPA obtained by the student in a semester is calculated by dividing the sum of the products of the grade point average and the credits in each semester by the total credits of that particular semester.

Program Structure

• Attendance: Candidates are required to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance separately for theory and practical in each course failing which he/she is debarred from appearing in the End term examination.
• Credits: The credit requirements of 1st and 2nd semesters are 19+2 and 16+2 respectively. The 3rd semester includes elective courses and the credit requirement is 10-20 credits whereas 4th semester requires 10+0 credits. Hence, the total credit requirement is 65.
• Examinations: Each of the courses shall be 100 marks. The score obtained by the candidate out of 100 will be converted to a 10 point grade system. Each semester comprises Mid Term and End Term Examinations. Candidates must clear all End Term Examinations in order to be eligible for MBA ABM degree. A minimum 6.5 CGPA is required to be earned in each semester. Besides, a student has to appear in quizzes/tests and carry out field/ laboratory/ library/ clinical assignments throughout the semester.
• Evaluation: The weightage for different types of examination are listed below on the basis of which candidate’s performance is evaluated:
  • Self Study (Assignments) - 20%
  • Tests - 30%
  • Semester-end Examination - 50%
• Reservation Criteria: Reservation criteria for MBA Agribusiness Management course is mentioned below:
  • 7% of the total seats are reserved for SC category while 15% seats are reserved for ST category candidates.
