I am Prachi first year ba llb student at himachal pradesh national law University. The fee structure of this nlu is comparatively high as compared to other nlus and if I tell you the yearly fee structure it around 3.5 lakh per annum including all hostel and mess fees. So the fees is approximately 18 lakh per annum. If I tell you about the fees hike procedure so it is like every year there is 10% increase hike in the fees structure. And if I talk about the scholarship details it is provided, but it depends on from which state do you belong and it is given by state policy .There is a discount for the sc and st categories as they are provided to give 20000 less than the general student. The fees can be paid semester wise and hostel is compulsory.

HPNLU- A SERENE EXPERIENCE

i'm in the course B.A LL.B( hons.) first year so i paid 2,17,500 for 1st semester and only in 1st year you also have to pay for 2nd semester only the tution fee that is 81,000 so total is like 2,98,500 and the total should be like around 11 lacs excluding mess fee they charge 26,000 per semester and the fee is same for every category and there is scholarship on merit based if you scored great marks in your end sem and also they also provide external scholarships links through email which students can apply

Ups and Downs of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla by Mayra Nargotra

Yearly fees at HPNLU is around Rs.298000 for first year where semester fee is Rs.81000. The fee is same across all categories including SC, ST or management. The fee shall increase by 5% every year. Admission fee annually is around Rs.6750, Tuition fee annually is around 162000. Campus development fee is around 13500 same goes for examination fee annually. Library and moot court fee is 6750. Meritorious students with family's annual income below Rs.600000 are given scholarship on merit cum means basis.

HPNLU'S KNOW HOW

So when i joined the college in the year 2022 the fees was around 200000 and Mess fees was close to 12000. But since then the fees has been increasing both the academic and mess fees. Recent Batch which joined this year they are paying close to 350000.

HPNLU - All You Need To Know !

The batch of 2023, without any financial aid and scholarship had paid approx. Rs. 2,82,000 for their first year which included everything from academic, extra-curricular activities to residency and food. Fee payment is required to be made in separate receipts under Academic fee, Hostel fee and Messfee. The academic fee consists of : Tuition, Campus Development, Facilities, Moot Court, Examination and Library fee. With an increase of Rs. 5,000 in each subsequent year, there were no scholarships or tuition waiver from the university per se. However, assistance is provided by Dr. Hari Chand who manages the scholarship desk incase a student is eligible for state scholarship from their respective domicile. The fee structure of HPNLU seems to be increasing without fail, as if the price goes up like a clockwork with every new batch.

FIRST AMOMG THE ALL THIS COLLEGE HPNLU SHIMLA IS LOCATED AT A VERY BEAUTIFUL LOCATION ITSELF. PLUS IT'S A NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY SO YEAH YOU CAN EXPECT AMAZINC CURRICULUM AND FACULTY HERE. HOSTELS ARE NOT INSIDE CAMPUS CAUSE OF TERRAINS SO THAT CAN B A PROBLEM FOR SOME PEOPLE BUT I AM COMPLETELY FINE WITH THAT . FACULTY HERE IS AMAZING. MOOTS AND DEBATING IS ALSO AN AMAZING PART HERE. CULTURE IS GOOD THERE I NO RAGGING IN THIS UNIVERSITY. HOSTEL ROOMS ARE ALSO GOOD MESS FOOD IS JUST AVERAGE . UNIVERSITY IS AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL SCENIC VIEW FRON EACH AND EVERY SIDE IS SEEN.

HPNLU- WHAT & HOW

The fees for the new batch after the admission of our batch that is 2022-27 has increased and it is increasing with the admission of every new batch. There is an annual increase of Rs. 5000/- in the tution fee in every academic session of every programme. Such increase will equally apply to supernumerary seats. We get separate notices of fees for the old batches starting from 2020. Our batch pays 110250 which is the academic fee, 1st installment. Mess fee is 20484, earlier it was 18000. Total fee payable for completing the admission process is 130734. For both the semester or the entire year, the academic fee would be 220,500 rupees. Dr. Hari Chand, one of the faculty members takes care of the scholarships. Each year, editions of scholarship for UG Students is announced which is called the Eklavya scholarship. For LLM, the annual fee to be paid is Rs.186500. For NRI Student, Rs.750000 and SAARC Candidates (excluding Indians), Rs.350000. The campus development fee is 10000.

Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Ghandal, Shimla

The university doesn't have any scholarship program. The fees has been increased. Mess fees also increases every semester and it only degrades food quality every year. In case of employment, the university is doing pretty well. This year itself it has got placements in many tier 1 law firms such as IndusLaw, SnR Associates.
