Himachal Pradesh National Law University, established in 2016, has yet to see its first graduating batch, set to complete their course in 2021. As such, concrete placement records are unavailable. the following is the bare bones of accommodations in HPNLU lavery centre HPNLU placements and carrer prospects :-the HPNLU students are usually allowed to have campus placements staring in the 9th semester .the placement cell is only quite young ,and thus developing at NLU . Boutique law firms and companies such as link legal and lakshmikumaran and sridharan also conduct top recruiting , and a few of the students also conduct top recruiting ,and a few of the students also get the PPO,s after the internship . packages the largest packages are normally between 10-12 LPA,with an average package of between 6-7 LPA placement percentage approximately 40-50 % of students seeking corporate jobs end up being placed off campus . plans after degree :on a personal note ,i will be exploring the world of litigation or the courts ,as the degree offerings provided by the university provide a good base in regards to competitive tests .

College review of hpnlu

In himachal pradesh national law University Shimla the placement are not great If we see the previous trends only six students got placement and the highest was 18 lakh per annum and lowest was 5 lakh Student become eligible for the placement in 5th year and are only eligible if there got cgpa above than 7 and have not secured a back. Only 30 % student in batch got placement from college. My plans as of now are not decided by now

HPNLU Review

Students usually become eligible for placements in the second semester of their final year. I am currently unaware of the companies that have visited Himachal Pradesh National Law University. U am also unaware of the current packages offered to students but to my knowledge, students with a CGPA higher than 7.5 are preferred by the company. Placement percentage is low. My plan after the degree include being employed at law firm, preferably in Shimla itseld

HPNLU'S KNOW HOW

The placements are not that good as of now because it is still a new NLU. But after 3-5 year's this thing would also improve as more and more companies would come to the University for placement. My plan after the degree is to join a law firm.

HPNLU SHIMLA THE HOGWARTS OF NORTH

generally from 5th year which is also the last year students become eligible for campus placement. package on average go to 15 Lpa some students also get packages of 25 lpa . Generally in law field students opt out to be a judge or going for higher studies so students taking placements are very low .

The reality of HPNLU

Likes

Access to other NLUs and being a part of the NLU culture has made me open to more opportunities and a niche legal culture, the NLU tag is worth it when it comes to getting internships and placements.

Dislikes

The placements are very low and internship opportunities are limited.

The placements are not very lucrative only tier 3 law firms offer placements at HPNLU, companies such as SVS attorneys, optimus legal , SNG & partners , SNS legal , Mandala Law offices etc. No. of placements offered was around 10 in 2023. The highest package offered was INR 18LPA by Singh and Associates. The percentage of students getting placed every year by the univerity is very minimal ; 15% and average placement is offered t 5-8 LPA, But most students get placed by companies out of the campus and in their personal capacity. Out of campus placement is pretty high around; 55%.I plan to prepare and appear for judiciary examinations. I also would prefer working in corporate and law firms. As I explore further the path may begin to clear up more.

Hpnlu a decent NLU

This university was incarnated in 2016 and therefore there has not been a single batch that has passed out yet. The first batch will complete the intigrated course in 2021. And it is expected that they will get great placement as our university has been working very hard to provide us with various workshops and guest lectures from various judges of supreme court. The university has its own internship and placement cell which help students to intern.

Steady progress but still a long way to go

Placements and job opportunities can not be talked about right now, since the university was established in 2016, meaning thereby that the first batch students will be in 5th year starting July,2020. The college gives the details of a number of firms, NGO's and other areas to explore giving you the opportunity to apply to the same from their directory giving the details for the same.A letter of recommendation is also provided.In short, you have to look for internship in your own.

HPNLU- A SERENE EXPERIENCE

let me clear this out the placements are not great as it looks but they are trying to place students and expanding the placements cell that students would get the opportunity and only a small number of companies visits campus and many students mostly obtain internship/ placements outside of the campus process the placement cell is still maturing

Ups and Downs of Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla by Mayra Nargotra

College does provide placement however not up to the mark. The placement cell is working hard to provide the best for its students, rest the NLU tag really matters and fetches students work if not from the campus but independently as well. I personally have no plans to go for a placement and so do several others at HPNLU they are focused on judiciary or other government exams.
