The college has a generally well-qualified faculty, with many holding MTech and PhD degrees, though there are fewer staff in branches like civil and chemical, leading to faculty covering multiple subjects. The faculty-student ratio stands at a high 100:1, and all faculty are on a contract basis, as there are no permanent staff at RGUKT Basar. The evaluation system includes monthly tests and lab exams, with a moderate exam difficulty level.

The EEE department receives particular praise, while some issues are noted with English and power electronics faculty.
